Last night at Dharma Bums, the River Guild group met for its monthly sewing group! From 6-8pm, on the second Weds of every month. You don't need to be able to sew or do any craft- you just need to want to! Come and learn or "keep on rolling" with whatever textile based craft you are working on! A great way to unwind and meet new people in your community! I honestly can't recommend it enough. And its free! #vegetarianrestaurant #newhopepa #sewingcircle #mindfulness #SlowStitching

Layers of gold, ember orange, and slow, deliberate marks. Every piece tells its own quiet story, but I’m curious—what shapes, textures, or landscapes do you see emerging here? Gather with us tonight at Dharma Bums in New Hope, PA (6–8 PM) for an evening of hand stitching and community. Pull up a chair and sit with us. 🧵Bring your stash and sew!

Midweek reset, but make it tactile. ✨ Grab whatever project is currently on your needle, in your hoop, or taking over your cutting table. We’re opening up the space this Wednesday, October 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for open stitching, good conversation, and shared creative energy. Whether you’re piecing intricate layers, finishing hand details, mending a favorite piece, or just need two dedicated hours away from screens, pull up a chair. Come solo or bring a friend—all fiber arts, all experience levels, all good vibes. Drop in, unwind, and let’s make together. 🧵🪡 📍 Dharma Bums 🗓️ Wednesday, Oct 14 | 6:00 – 8:00 PM Start with the quiet pace of hand stitching—it always takes you somewhere unexpected.#stitching

We stitched up these textile tetrahedrons last night—or humbugs, as my textile art friends in the UK call them—and we still have plenty of supplies left if you’d like to have a go at making one. There’s something so satisfying about watching this three-dimensional little shape come together, turning simple scraps into a curious, lovely object. Fill it with sand or rice, add a drop of essential oil for a sweet-scented sachet, or use it as a handy pattern weight to hold fabric steady while cutting. They can easily be scaled up to larger sizes, too—a doorstop, a playful floor cushion, or whatever else you might dream up. If your hands are craving that kind of slow, rhythmic making, come sit with us. The River Stitch Guild gathers upstairs at Dharma Bums in New Hope every second Wednesday of the month. Bring along whatever hand-stitching project has your heart right now—or come try your hand at a humbug with our leftover materials. No rush, just good conversation and the steady comfort of needle and thread. We’d love to welcome you into the circle. 🧵✨
