I was lucky enough to meet @billnye at the Oak Grove Golden Jubilee yesterday. I joked with him that he's lucky his last name is Nye - Bill Jones the Science Guy would not be as catchy. He kinda chuckled.

I had a little maintenance work done on Wednesday. Recovery is going well so far. Scripps Health Oceanside was a great host. Dr. Kevin Tran and his team were fantastic!

The Challenge at reidy creek hosted by Innova and @doghausdiscgolfshop

We have a x2 winner Damien Trunkey returning from San Luis Obispo to win a $1,000 payout and the invite to USDGC.

$1000 dollar bonus cash added by : Disc Golf Values.

Also we have Sheliemae Lai winning FPO and getting the invite to TPWDGC.

Big shout out to Jacob Courtis who landed in second place MPO. He already had the invite for USDGC so we had a three playoff for the last invitation between Gavin Bos , Alex Gerlock , and Emmanuel Torres.

To be continued…

2025 Challenge at Reidy Creek

This was my 100th tournament since I started playing all these years ago. Started off 4 strokes behind first and caught up going into hole 18. Slid 3 inches into the hazard and...was able to finish second 🥈 and take home some hardware.

For you Stat people… so you don’t have to look me up… you know who you are… 😏😜😂

41/100 Wins🏆
65/Podiums 🥇🥈🥉
35/100 lessons learned the hard way 😂🐆

Thank you @rizbee1752, @innovadiscs, and @doghausdiscgolfshop for throwing @thechallengeatreidycreek tournament at @reidycreekgc. Shout out to the volunteers, we couldn’t do it without you.

"The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life."

- Richard Bach

First of all, Happy Birthday Dad!!! @rizbee1752

As the years go by, our bond grows stronger and stronger. Not because our blood gets thicker 😅 but because the mutual respect we have for one another continues to grow.

I'm so proud of his career choices over the past few years. He retired from a job that he had been working at for over thirty years, which is an amazing feat. Then, he found a job with the @pdga that he had been training for almost forty years! He's been working on a big project for a while now that is going to help so many people.

Speaking of joy, he and I traveled from Massachusetts to South Carolina last week. Along the way, we broke up the drive by playing a bunch of courses that neither of us had played before and eating some delicious local food. My dad has now played disc golf in all 48 contiguous United States!

Love you, dad.
