Gas prices. Flight costs. Food. Hotel. Ammo. I get it. Everything is getting more and more expensive to go train. But what are the real costs of NOT training?

Just wrapped up the Northeast Ohio Range Days (NERD) weekend at the NorthEast Ohio Tactical Training Center, and it completely blew away my expectations.

Personally, for me, I felt that the Red Dot class of instruction taught by @rlyons1725 and the other instructor who's name slips me and do not have Instagram account to shout him out was top notch and went above and beyond to help get the class familiar with the techniques and standards of the red dot.

The attention to detail, safety, and professionalism from the instructor cadre was top-tier. They don’t just let you run through round counts; they break down mechanics, force you to think, and provide precise, actionable feedback. Whether you are running a carbine or a pistol, the coaching is meant to stress-test your abilities and build real-world capability.

I can genuinely say this is the best tactical and training event I’ve been involved with in years. The community, the vendors, and the level of instruction are unmatched.

Huge shootout to everyone involved for putting together a flawless event. If you missed out this year, make sure you keep an eye on Delta Strategic Stippling to lock in your spot for the next one.
