🧶 MORE TESTER LOVE!! ❤️

One thing I love about working with DK weight yarn is that you can also achieve this gauge my doubling fingering weight yarn. For the Split Decision Mitts test, I made sure I had test knitters using fingering weight yarn doubled as well as testers using DK weight. Some testers held the same color doubled and others marled colors. Thank you to all the testers for their creative work and thoughtful feedback. Here are some example projects using fingering weight yarn doubled.

1-2: Sandra @roadbunner made this great pair with a speckled yarn and contrasting tonal color. The high contrast is so striking!
3: Katherine @mathalete07 created a faded marled pair with leftover sock yarn in the same color family 💙
4: Molly @mollyhatchickdesigns made this fun colorblocked pair that already have me thinking about other color schemes myself!
5: Allena @starknits used a mix of fingering weight doubled with DK, which worked out perfectly… and do you spy her Shoulder Season Top, too?? ⭐️
6-7: Alicia @almariecraft_ used fingering weight yarn doubled as well… and as I mentioned in a comment in my Discord group: there was no photo contest, but Alicia won 😉

I bet you have some fingering weight scraps ready for a project. Double it up and give my pattern a try! Save 15% through March 22 with code Split15 in my stores.

These would be a great project for my KAL, too! You can use #SDKAL2023 here and join the chatter channel in Shanalines Designs Discord. You’ll find a Google form there to enter for prizes! Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm so chuffed with my #CarvoeiroShawl which I have just released the pattern for. A triangular shawl knitted in fingering weight yarn using one full 100g skein and a mini 20g skein. #NewPattern now available on Ravelry (link in bio)

I cant thank my test knitters enough for creating such fantastic shawls too. 💖
I just love how the choice of colour can turn it from a light summer shawl to having a real autumnal feel to it.

The newest arrival to the store combined with a California favorite.

My husband was craving a burger yesterday so we decided to go to In-N-Out after my 16 miler today. Nothing better than the promise of a good post run meal to pull you through the tough miles. Had a strong run today which I needed after my last 16 got relegated to the 'mill. My new @pointonemilesstore shirt is life. Combines two of my favorite pastimes which are so divergent yet strangely complementary. #hansonsmarathonmethod
