When I was in Myrtle Beach moving my son back to college in August, I made sure to visit Rue & Reverie for Bookstore Romance Day. This is Myrtle Beach’s first indie romance bookstore.
The visit was made more special by getting to hang out with my cousin who I haven’t seen for a couple of years. It was so wonderful to get to hug her in person, especially after she was almost killed earlier this year by a drunk driver when she was crossing a street. Seeing how much progress she’s made made my heart so happy.

Rue & Reverie was super cute with a make your own blind book, book charms you could make, and lots of bookish themed tshirts made to order while you wait. My cousin talked me into making a blind date book package and getting a tshirt. She did the same. I loved how the store was separated into different sections for romcoms, contemporary romance, dark romance, and romantasy. I’ll definitely be back when I’m back in town. Swipe to the end to see my final blind book packaged cute and the one I got.

❓What have you been up to today? @mamareadsalot mentioned Thai food earlier this morning and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So we met up for a late lunch. So good to catch up

Getting my Pride post in at the last minute!

I don't talk about it much, but I've been out as a transgender woman for a few years now. I can only speak for myself, but transitioning absolutely saved my life. Without getting too sappy, growing into my authentic self these last few years has been the happiest period of my life, hands down. I am so blessed to have the most loving and supportive wife Alexandra, who has walked with me every step of my journey (and sometimes carried me)
…as well as our wonderful and supportive friends and family.

PS: this isn't up for debate, bigots will be blocked

✨Birthday hair for the birthday girl!✨

Known this girl since I was a little girl and she’s been a client of mine since I started doing hair! Literally always a blast getting to do her hair!! Happy birthday @roara_

We did some soft dimensional copper lowlights to really add a little something with a darker money piece while adding in a small pop of blonde here and there!
