Looking back on old yearbooks, one of the things that has struck me as beautiful to see is the progression of diversity as time goes on. MIT went from being a place full of mostly white men to include women to including people of color. Despite all this progress, as the world has become more welcoming to lgbtq people, I haven’t seen that similar rise in representation in the yearbook. My hope is that with photos like this, when queer people look at the yearbook in the future they’ll feel comforted by the fact that we’ve always been in places like this, and that there are people just like them all over the world.

Thanks Truman and Rob for saying yes to the shoot! 📸📸
