Tuning into motivation EVERY day is not easy. I honestly could spend days working from the couch, looking for inspiration from inspiring people online. Without knowing that, the only way to find it is in ME. So, how?

1 - Find two things that, when you do, you feel your best. They can be anything. You might not feel like doing them at the minute, but just do it, and within a few minutes, you will find your creative and motivated zone. For example, mine are walking for 30 minutes in the sun, changing clothes and make-up that make me FEEL amazing (even if I’m staying home), and working on a graphic project.

2- I then choose one of them, get up from my slump and tell myself, “I’m just going to try this one thing. I don’t need to commit for the whole day if it works great. If it doesn’t, then I really need to feel all the feels, and it’s okay to work from the couch again (or take the day off!).”

3- I make very slow steps towards that one decision. But I do it. I committed to that one thing I know at the end, will change my FOCUS!

4- Within a few minutes, or however long it takes, I start feeling different, my moment changes, and I start MOVING. It’s from this place that I make decisions about my day.

5- If I didn’t try walking, didn’t get changed and ready for the day, or didn’t work on a creative project, then I should NOT be making any decisions about how I feel today. You must change your focus, act like your best version, and then decide, “Yes, I do need a day off” or “Wow, I can feel motivation coming in and will get this to-do list done.”

These are one of the most important topics in working with my clients. Women work from a place of FEELING, and we need to learn how to change how we feel in a moment so we can continue growing.

When you reach NINE YEARS in Business and, you have SO MUCH to celebrate!

If you told me 9 years ago that I would be running a business from the comfort of my home, winning awards, bringing millions to my clients, working with thousands of women, being a present parent, travelling to the other side of the world yearly, making soul friends along the way from this business and MAKING AN INCOME from it, I would be like mmmm “that doesn’t happen to people like me”.

But it did, and it does. We must believe in ourselves and be crazy enough to take the risk. Long-term, consistent, continuous actions and forward moving. Always.

I’m proud of myself, so freaking much.

Happy Birthday, The Stylish Studio. You have changed me and my life for the better and forever. I’m so PROUD of us.
