24 YEARS OF BEAUTY. INNOVATION. IMPACT. LEGACY. ❤️

When I look through these pictures, I don't just see hair shows, stages, products, educators and clients.

I see 24 years of a journey.

The ups and downs. The wins and losses. The doors that opened, the ones that closed, the times I knew exactly where we were going—and the times I simply had to trust God and keep moving.

And somehow, through all the ins and outs... we're still here.

Still creating.
Still educating.
Still innovating.
Still pouring into this industry.
Still believing in the professional stylist.

But none of these pictures tell a story about one person. Look closely and you'll see the people who made these 24 years possible—educators who stood on our stages, stylists who believed in our products, clients who supported us, and relationships that have lasted decades.

That's impact.

And today, more than anything, I'm grateful.

Grateful to God for bringing me through everything I could see coming—and everything I couldn't.

Grateful for the lessons.

Grateful for the people.

And grateful that after 24 years, I still wake up excited about what we can build next.

Now I want to hear YOUR story.

If @HairElementsProducts has been part of your salon, your career, your hair journey, or simply a great memory somewhere along these 24 years, send us a DM. Send an old picture. Send a testimonial. Send us a quick video.

We're collecting 24 stories for 24 years, because this legacy doesn't belong to me alone.

It belongs to everybody who helped us build it.

24 years down—and by God's grace, we're still here. And we're not finished. ❤️🙏🏾

October 2022 felt like an atomic bomb in our industry.

Headlines hit saying “relaxers cause cancer”…

lawsuits followed…
and by December, it became a national conversation.

But what most people didn’t see was the timeline.

For years, Relaxers had already been painted as the problem—
framed as damage… as something we “did to ourselves.”

Then in early 2022, something started to shift.

An article in Allure—“Why Black Women Are Going Back to Relaxers”—
highlighted what many of us were already seeing:

Clients returning.
Professionals adapting.

The salon finding its rhythm again.
And then… months later…

The NIH study drops in October 2022.

The headline?
“Straighteners linked to cancer.”

But inside the study, “straighteners” included Relaxers, keratin treatments, AND non-chemical pressing tools.

Most people never read that part.

They read the headline.

And within a week… lawsuits were filed.

That’s when I knew—we couldn’t stay silent.

Not to deny science… but to challenge misinformation.

Not to divide… but to restore professionalism.

Not to go backwards… but to protect what we built.

Because this industry fed families.
Created entrepreneurs.
Built culture.

And we’re still here.
Still standing.
Still evolving.
Still in control.

This is why we fight.

Rhondala @rl_rezzurections has been rocking with me for over 20 YEARS — and I’m telling you, some years back after my mother passed I was sitting in Rhondala's salon and looked up at her while she was standing over me and from that vantage point I said to myself, “Wow she looks just like my mama…” 🥹😇

It took me all the way back to when I was a child looking up at her.

And it wasn’t just the look… it was the spirit.

That same warmth. That same joy. That same love.

Her laugh? Man… infectious 😂✨

One of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet.

Well Saturday we were talking about all the clients wanting to wear their own hair even more and are coming in getting those short cuts again.

She was showing me all her clients while going through her phone she was like, “I did a curl last night…” — I said hold on now, we taking it BACK! 😂🔥Classic Marcel curls, pixies, bobs, Curls… she's done did it ALL. I was like sis send them pics so I can do a reel with them!👍🏾😄

That’s what I love about this industry — versatility, creativity, and that timeless touch.

And to see her still evolving, still creating, still showing up… AND pulling up with her ticket in hand ready for the show?? 🎟️🔥

That’s love. That’s loyalty. That’s family.

Not just a client… that’s my sister right there 💪🏾❤️

This is what it’s all about.

This is what it looks like when culture, craft, and community come together.

Not just a show.
Not just a moment.

A reminder.

Of who we are.
Of what we built.
Of what’s still ours.

The science.
The skill.
The opportunity.

This industry has always been about more than hair — it’s been about ownership, education, and independence.

And now… we’re stepping back into it.

Old school still hits different. 🎟️

Stopped by FedEx to pick up flyers and tickets for TIMELESS… and it took me back.

We used to have guys like Bobby — “the flyer man.”
If it was a show, a class, an event… he made sure the word got out. Real grassroots. Real connection.

Now everything is QR codes and links — and don’t get me wrong, that’s cool. My daughter made sure I had that part covered. 😅

But it’s something about a hard ticket.

You hold it.
You see it.
You don’t forget it.

It sits on your counter, your station, your mirror…
a reminder that you made a commitment.

Back in the day, when you had that ticket, you were going. No excuses.

That’s the energy we’re bringing back.

TIMELESS — April 20, 2026
Not just an event… a commitment to the craft, the culture, and the profession.

Grab your ticket — however you get it.
Just make sure you’re in the room.

Timeless… 🌍✨

This is what it looks like when craft, culture, and education come together.

From the chair… to the stage…
real techniques, real products, real results.

Our Earth Element, @tracie_necole_ demonstrating the art and science of loc care — using our Hydro Sculpt Atlantis aka the Pink Foam, our Botanical Lipid Complex, and Encompass to bring it all together.

Because this industry was built on more than style…

It was built on the principle of Tzedakah.....teaching, sharing, and elevating one another.

No hierarchy.

Just style.

Join us April 20, 2026 in Jacksonville for TIMELESS — a celebration of Black hair culture, professionalism, and legacy.
