RECENSION.

I said to myself that I was going to get better at capturing good moments and memories… safe to say it’s still a work in progress. Here’s some great ones tho.

Representation done correctly. 🧿🙏🏽

This past weekend was special, a big thank you to @galvangello & @biji_________ for putting on great shows but above all else for bringing us all together and giving this great energy to our city!!! 🎖️

Our culture is both ancient and diverse, yet unfortunately, it continues to be suppressed both locally and globally.
From our flag and language to our traditional garb, the forces that seek to diminish or erase our history make it all the more important for us to celebrate our beautiful heritage.
Growing up I never really saw famous Kurdish figures outside of Kurdistan or what we’d see via satellite channels here in Europe. 📡🇪🇺
Even in early adulthood the closest thing to it was probably imagining The Sopranos with mustaches, or khoya @frenchmontana and a certain DJ who shall remain nameless 😂

A new wave of Kurdish representation is emerging across the diaspora. From World Champ @agitkabayel to the remarkable works of art by @tishkbarzanji, @evinahmad, @wearechamos, @biji_________ and many other great contributors, Kurdish representation is in its strongest place yet. For this I am immensely proud and grateful.

Zor spas & dastan xosh bet 🤌🏽❤️
