FIVE ROD FEST 2026! 🥕🪩

Ahhh two weeks ago we hosted round four of this lovely little festival and what a wonderful day it was. ✨

Four years of doing this and somehow we keep pulling it off. Lots of music, dancing, food, drinks, flowers, questionable logistics and a farm full of lovely people. 🧡

It takes a small army to make it happen, so huge thanks to everyone who helped out in any way, big or small, all the artists who played and everyone who came down and made it such a joyous one. 💃

I’m feeling very proud of what we’ve created over the last four years, while also wondering what it might look like going forwards. No answers needed yet. We’re always learning as we go.

All we know is it’s still our favourite day of the year.

And thank you @kingsleygrahampalmer for finding time to take these beautiful photos whilst feeding all the people. 🙏

Until next time…

The bike build is officially finished 👌🏻

Trying to turn my little MTB into a bikepacking setup capable of carrying pretty much everything I’ll need for the next few months.

A few upgrades, a LOT of tinkering, and a DIY masterclass thrown in for good measure.

South America, here goes ⛰️

✨ MOUNTAIN READY ✨

I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me and my crazy adventure up to this point of finally being ready to go, as the dream machine has been created by the one and only mechanic Robin.

I couldn’t have gotten to this point without friends and family by my side. Feeling very grateful.

South America ready ✈️

Tongwe East Forest, Tanzania. 🌳

Highlight: camping beside Nkondwe Waterfall. We arrived in the dark and fell asleep to the continuous roar of this giant force of nature. Waking with the sunrise to see it in all its glory and power was pretty unforgettable.

Lowlight: heading into the forest without realising we were about to face 150 miles with no resupply apart from a few huts at the top of a climb, with very limited options.

@robinonabike and I will be sharing more stories from the journey at Five Rod Fest, Saturday 19th September at @fiverodfarm. We’ll have more photos, our bicycles locked and loaded, and it’ll be our final fundraising push to get us over £10,000 for @stelizabethhospice.

Come along, say hello and support us…oh and there’ll be beautiful music, delicious food, pick your own flowers and a wonderful gathering of lovely humans. 🧡

374 km around Norfolk in one day🚲

The Rebellion Way takes you through a bit of everything — quiet country roads, gravel tracks, forests, market towns, Roman ruins and some seriously beautiful countryside.

We decided to see how much of it we could squeeze into one day…

17 hours later, we’d ridden the whole thing.

Would I recommend doing it in one go? Depends how much of a challenge you’re feeling up for.

Whether you do this in one day, or over several, it is adventure for any level of cyclist.

One for your next adventure?

POV: you decide to bike pack across South Africa.

870km Upington ➡️ Cape Town
9 days
6750 meters climbing
1 mountain range conquered ⛰️ the Cederberg ✨

No idea what I was getting my self into in all honesty
Mostly cycling off road
Many many kilometres travelled and meters climbed
An unreasonable amount of beautiful scenery
And somewhere along the way, a few strangers became very good friends 🫶

Cycling adventures can take you to incredible places and views!

But not all adventures need to look like this, the important thing is having fun and trying something new. It took me some time (still learning!) to feel comfortable pushing myself out of my comfort zone, but I learnt it’s always worth it in the end! Be brave and challenge yourself 🫶
