๐ŸŽฏFrom body scans to wearable sculptures, every form starts with data.

These snapshots are from the previous edition of Dynamic Wearables for Fashion Design, where participants explored computational workflows for transforming body scans, curves, and data into responsive wearable systems.

This weekend, Dynamic Wearables for Fashion Design 2.0 takes those ideas even further. Building on the foundations of the first workshop, participants will explore garment-scale systems, body mapping, modular wearables, twisted box mapping, SubD workflows, panelization, flattening, and fabrication-ready designs using Rhino and Grasshopper.

Every digital design tool has its strengths.

I use organic modeling to create a patient-specific splint that conforms to each individualโ€™s anatomy.

Then I use parametric modeling to quickly adjust design features like strap loops, perforation patterns, borders, and other customizable elements before sending the splint to print.

This hybrid workflow combines the flexibility of organic modeling with the efficiency of parametric design.

Huge thanks to RJ @robot.objects for collaborating on the parametric portion of this workflow.
