Rocket Bird Books launched our first beautifully produced picture books in Spring 2023.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Books my 3 year old has been enjoying this week…

🐵 I Love You More Than… A Baboon’s Bum

A’s favourite book at the moment. A very funny and ‘cheeky’ book about measuring love in bums.

🔎A-Maze-Ing Journeys - Where’s Wally?

Aubrey’s first introduction to Where’s Wally? Books. We loved the addition of the mazes even though they are designed for older children we enjoyed having a go and A just decided that she could bend the rules and ‘jump’ over the obstacles.

🧹 Cinderella

A fun twist on the original Cinderella we picked this one up in the 3 for £5 deal at @theworksstores

🐝 Baboo The Unusual Bee

Baboo is the only pink bee in his hive and he also loves to dance but the other bees aren’t accepting of his differences at first. A lovely story about being your unique self and the illustrations are beautifully unique themselves.

✉️ Dragon Post

A funny story about a boy that adopts a pet dragon but seeks help from a variety of people via post. Aubrey loves opening the envelopes and finding the letters inside.

🔒Don’t Look In This Book

As soon as I read the title of this book and Aub’s saw the padlock on the front cover she was instantly intrigued. This book is designed to engage reluctant readers with a variety of ‘story starters’ for children to create their own endings too.

🐶 Ollie’s Puppy Love

This is our first introduction to the Ollie’s adventure stories and it didn’t disappoint. When Grandma’s new puppy comes to stay, Ollie is excited for all their new adventures but things don’t quite turn out how she expected.

*Some books gifted for review.

I’m over the moon to finally be able to share some news I’ve been holding in for some time. This September my first children’s book will be published, by the incredible Rocket Bird Books, who launch officially today. Rocket Bird is a visionary new publishers, and an imprint of Harper Collins, created to champion exciting and innovative new picture books, and to turn all children into book lovers before they’re able to read a single word. I honestly
couldn’t be prouder to be one of their writers, and to have been paired up with the most inspiring and talented illustrator. It’s a total dream.

I really can’t wait to be able to share more details about my book, and to share it with you all, but for now my heartfelt congrats to Libby and the entire team at @rocketbirdbooks - please go follow them and show them some love 💜

Welcome to the first of many beautiful titles from the new publisher @rocketbirdbooks

In Can I Come Too? We join Teddy as he is off on an adventure to the spot where the river meets the sea.

He wants to go alone but Dad wants him to keep an eye on Cub.

But oh dear, Cub is a bit clumsy and has already tripped over and they haven’t even left the garden.

After lots of trips & falls, as well as many questions ans some broken equipment, Teddy is at breaking point.

Teddy is busy, can’t Cub see that?

But what comes next is a big surprise to both Teddy & Cub, that ends up saving the day.

Can I Come Too? Is the story of siblings, getting in the way , responsibility, sharing and the surprises along the way.

It’s by @owendaveydraws and published by the folk @rocketbirdbooks. It’s £12.99 and can be found in our great outdoors collection.

PLUS the very kind folk at Rocket Bird have sent me some matching patches to go with orders whilst stock lasts.

They are so beautiful! Think swimming / scout badges but for your book bag).

Anyway happy Reading and adventuring!
