Muscle activation has become somewhat of a contentious topic.

Muscle activation exercises like you see here isn’t to say that the muscle isn’t working at all, but instead trying to get it to fire more and harder.

Due to injuries, compensations, stress, lack of sleep, etc. certain muscles may not contract to their maximum potential. Selective exercises, end range isometrics, and mind muscle connection can be helpful in getting muscles to contract better.

When it comes to strength and conditioning/sports performance, there are so many different systems, methods, and coaches to learn from.

From heavy strength training, to mobility, to coordination, conditioning, speed, power, etc. there are many different fields to pull from and learn about.

The best coaches can siphon out what’s useful and what’s BS.

“What are these things and how do you use them?” Many of you may be wondering just like Steve was.

Mobility sticks are a great tool to disassociate or separate the upper body from the lower body during mobility movements. Just like @rogercaibe said.

These are a staple in his mobility routines with athletes of all levels.

Two offseasons. Two years of work. One goal: build a better athlete.

Working with Ceddanne Rafaela has never been about simply getting stronger or doing more.

It’s about developing the qualities that transfer to performance — strength, speed, power, movement, and durability.

The longer you work with an athlete, the more you understand that great performance isn’t built from random workouts.

It’s built from a system designed around the athlete.

This is the Crown Method. 👑

Started the summer with surgery, and Roger was there every step of the way getting me back. Words can’t describe the way he treats his athletes and the love he has for everyone who walks into that gym. Beyond thankful to have him as part of my process. Wouldn’t want it any other way. 👑

Also, a huge thank you to @nat.coto.rob and everyone at Coral Gables PT for the amazing physical therapy and for welcoming me with open arms, not only as a patient but also giving me the opportunity to work as an aide and learn from everyone throughout the summer. #thankful

When it comes to structuring a workout, there is a lot of different methods coaches use.

@rogercaibe goes through his process of energy system develop, mobility, activation, isometrics, power or plyometrics, and then strength training.

This is the exact formula he uses with his World Cup soccer players all the way down to general population.

Understanding the how and why when working with high level professional athletes.

@rogercaibe not only shows the movements that he has @connorkelly21 perform in a training session, but also explains the why behind it.
