Another awesome experience at RanchLife on Friday night. It was a little different this year because I wasn’t as mobile with my injury but that wasn’t going to stop me. I just stuck to the Highlands Stage this year, but it was awesome to see two of my long time favorites Jack Johnson and Donavon Frankenreiter who I used to follow in my twenties up and down the coast in more intimate venues from San Diego to Santa Barbara. It was cool to see Donavon break the world record at the show for playing 50 shows in 50 states in 49 days! Always a good time seeing friends old and new from near and far. The best moment for me was watching my friend Donavon play with his son Hendrix - my mama heart just about exploded. Watch this space because this kid has raw talent, just like his papa. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him.
A special thank you to my friend Allen Sanford who works tirelessly to create this amazing event for all.
