#TransformationTuesday

A year ago I posted some of these photos. So much has changed in a year. And it’s fascinating how much your heart and mind can change in a matter of seconds. I have found new loves, found a little more confidence, and still have yet to fully embrace all the different things, all the facets and aspects of life that make up who I am. @roll_asrx I roll and I lift things.

I look at the progress I’ve made, through blood, sweat, tears (and bruises 😅), I feel proud, and then no longer satisfied, knowing there will always be room for improvement. Continuous improvement, that’s all I ask of myself nowadays. With habits, passions/hobbies, work, education, relationships with myself and others, physical and mental health, faith, and more. There will always be challenging days, feeling like a fraud, questioning why I do the things I do.

With all that has been going on, life really is too short to not take chances or opportunities as they come. For so long I had worried about how strangers and loved ones see me. For so long I had sought validation from the wrong people and places. Although it’s a great way to see improvement, I don’t want to worry about how I look, I want to focus on how I feel, and if my heart and mind are in the right place. I look at these photos and ask myself how I felt in these moments.

We are halfway through 2022, and I’m going into this second half wanting more. To loving myself more, putting myself out there and getting more and more out of my comfort zone. How else can I grow and learn?

Say what you need to say. Do what you love. Love what you do. Be kind to yourself and others. I am truly blessed with the family and friends that I have. You have all helped me become the person I am today, and inspire me to do better the next day, and the next, and so on. ❤️ #consistencyiskey #practicemakesprogress #roadtoasRx #rollasRx

So happy that the day has finally come and I did my first Jiu-Jitsu competition. Got Bronze medal and got to see all my friends fight. Third Stripe Day! After counting down the days, it felt pretty good to get it, and together with my sister at heart @roll_asrx ❤️ Thank you so much Professor @aubreykoenig for all the three stripes given, all the encouragement and attention and the support! I’ve said it before and I reiterate, I feel so LUCKY to be part of such an amazing school and have such inspirational professors and coaches. To my beautiful @roll_asrx thanks for always being there for me and making me feel like I’m invincible.
