What an amazing day in Venice and Mr Dot as part of my project for @labiennale @britishcouncil fellowship postcards from Venice supported by @outsidein_uk I will not only be making braille postcards 3 in total but before I left I wanted to create real postcards that I could hand out and have conversations so @romablay who illustrated my book also illustrated Mr Dot punting a gondola and as the montage shows lots of smiling faces with the postcards what a day first of many #mrdot #venice #postcards #story #adventure

We’re grateful to share this reflection from the British Council following our AlUla grant-supported project 🤍

Seeing Mohammed recently photographed with HRH Prince William during the UK visit makes this moment even more special. Strong local voices are at the heart of Alleyways of AlUla, and this is just the beginning as we move towards Tantora.

Hey👋🏽 THIS IS NOT AI.
This was made by people.
And hardworking ones at that.

I’ve just released my 3rd and latest poetry audiobook on kofi (coffee) https://ko-fi.com/talktotuci
It’s called “poems for the dead”
and with my own personal life and the state of the world how it is right now, I feel this is the perfect time to release this beautiful video.
I commissioned Roma to make this because her creativity, imagination and diverse skillset were exactly what I was looking for. Someone who understood what it meant to get to the other side of chaos.
It was an absolute joy working with the incredibly talented Roma Blay, her work speaks for itself.

What is in the other side of chaos?
Well…. As always my poetry digs at the heels of my life, scurrying up through my soles and back into my bones in a way that makes me feel pride and cringe at the same time.
I like this feeling. It’s ugly. Dirty. But it comes with life lessons.
I don’t feel like I’m growing when I’m at peace. I seem to grow like a mushroom in the dark underbelly in the spores and mold, or at least my poems do. They come from nowhere and everywhere all at once. And some of them don’t make it. But they all take the same journey.
Beings towards death, through the chaos.

I write fridge poems...

Free Workshop Alert! 🔧🖨️✨'Drawn From Dust' - Creating flipbook animations from Blender particles🔧🖨️✨ (JULY 19th)

Join @romablay and learn a thing or two about the world of 3D animation before creating a fun flipbook to take home! This is a beginner friendly exploration of Blender, the free tool that dominates the landscape of modern 3D animation and design.

We’ll break down the software into something beautiful - you can make some fun custom shapes and animate them before mixing things up into a printed flipbook.

After your creations are printed, we encourage your creative side to really shine by adding colour to your frames in the real world, a marriage of old and new styles of animation!

Connect and colour with others, then take home a piece of this workshop you can be proud of, you’re officially an animator.

JUNE HIGHLIGHTS -

We have already had an amazing first weekend of June, which saw @portsmouthprideuk happen and events across town, but there is still lots to see and do over the month.

I am excited to see @james_h_official and his exhibition ‘Here’ @the.corner.collective from tomorrow.

Jacqui Mair still has her amazing Collage Chronicles exhibition on @jackhousegallery , and I particularly love the collage birds on vintage book boards!

@pittstskatepark has a fab day planned on the 21st to celebrate its Plaza outside area that has been built.

Have a read of all that is on the highlight list for June. Head on over to my Linktree!

Come and visit us on the 21-22nd June! There's print making, screen printing, collage, floral sculpture, weaving, sewing, painting and then me sat there writing angry pictures in a corner.

Stroll in to Portsmouth Dockyard, get ya bag searched* then ask for a historic quarter pass which is free. Then tottle up the first road you see (College road) and we're in The Old Pay Office right at the end.

*No guns.

So great to explore photogrammetry, Rigging and Motion capture data with @wardsanimation last week. We made little clay entities and then brought them to life with Mixamo. All free tools used. For sure one of our favourite workshops yet! New Tech. Old Spaces. <3
