Mock Audition guest artist: Roman Newhouse! 🎹

Roman is an up-and-coming musician on the Detroit music scene and a true do-it-all artist. A Chicago native, he specializes in jazz piano while also bringing experience in singing, arranging, and music education. His playing draws from all of these influences, creating a harmonically rich, vocally inspired approach to improvisation and composition.

A recent University of Michigan graduate in Jazz Performance and Music Education, Roman brings both the performer and educator perspective to our Mock Audition experience.

And a reminder: College Prep isn’t only for Musical Theatre! We also work with students pursuing contemporary voice, jazz, commercial music, and other music degrees—helping them understand their options and prepare confidently for the college audition process.

The greatest summer “job” in the world.

May the road…

Felt very blessed this day.

Seriously… I’m the luckiest.

Finally mic’d up.

Look ma!

That was Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin.

My genuine brothers for good.

Feeling nostalgic…

Thank you @thehyannissound 💚
