Book review: Hooked by Emily McIntire ❤️🪝👗

YOU GUYS. The way this book captured my heart 😩

At first, I was struggling to read the first half I’m ngl, BUT I think it was just me falling into a slump when I got sick and I just didn’t feel like doing anything so I was just struggling to pay attention to everything I was reading.

But anyway, this was my first dark romance read and I absolutely loved it. The writing was easy to read, the characters were great, there’s spice, the plot was interesting too and moved fairly quick - I honestly loved everything about it. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where there’s a villain gets the girl trope, but I always thought I’d like it over the hero trope… and I think I was right 👀❤️

december hopefuls 🎄❤️

i’m currently 20/25 in my goodreads reading goal and i know this is only 4 books, but i wasn’t sure what book to add for my last read 🤔 i’m hoping for a holiday read, so maybe that! if not, i think i’ll just choose something last minute hehe
