My first year of being an “influencer” the good the bad the ugly.
It wasn’t my idea, but when you have good friends they push you out of your comfort zone. I started my blog as a health and natural deal blog years ago. I didn’t share much of my personal life. And slowly I started receiving request for recommendations on products. About a year ago I started this journey. I’ve met fellow influencers, bloggers, content creators. Many of these ppl I call friends now, we have formed an online friendship and enjoy sharing ideas, tips and even a drink or two. I have worked with great companies, and media organizations who appreciate the time we put into our project, they are fair and professional. I have enjoyed all the perks. And the good always outweighed the bad.

That being said I’ve also encountered the the ugly side of it. Companies who aren’t open to diversity, I’ve received emails like “we are looking for a different look” and then you check their Instagram and all you see is the same all American look 😂. I get it, I move on and try with another company.

I’ve also met some ppl with the worse personalities, ppl with picture perfect post aren’t always as pleasant in real life. Humble is not a part of their dna. And competition and ego are their core. Very reality tv-ish 😂. But these are things I share with you because you are my homies and I feel that you need to stay awake to the reality we live in when we put our phones down.

I say this because I too got sucked into this comparison game. I questioned my body, my face, my outfits, my damn voice annoyed me at one point. Me?! I couldn’t help but to compare myself. So I had to put the phone down, unfollow some ppl, and get back to what matters. I’ve learned that Social Media has a way to influence you, some are good, some are bad, some are helpful, some are inspiring. You get to choose what you take away from each post you see online. 🍷 Cheers to 2020 and here’s hoping you never feel compared to what I do online, and I have only good influence on your year.

Through the years I’ve learned one important lesson “Lead by example” because change starts with you. So don’t feel judged, nor judge me 😆 because these curves proof that I eat good. And as a matter of a fact too good...

Who Remembers watching Jersey HW when Teresa threw a table across the room???

Whelp... This weekend I attended another Woman’s Blogger/Influencer Get together. Idk who I am anymore because I showed up to all the invites. I’m wasn’t always open to building new relationships... this maybe because Reality Tv had tainted my innocence 😆.
.
.
I’ll be honest with you, the first time I got invited I immediately let my imagination take the best of me and thought 💭 for sure Caty, mean girls, type of ppl would show up. Not my vibes for sure. But I knew I wasn’t going alone and if needed I’ll roll with the punches hahaha because if Love & Hip Hop/Jersey Housewives happens then it happens 😂.

.
Fast forward to this week.... And let me tell you about the women who post on the Gram are not at all what you may think. These ladies are welcoming, kind and friendly and you can definitely tell they work hard at this “Mom/wife” thing because their families are a representation of who they are. Good Job 👏🏻 Ladies. I had so much fun at all the events I’ve been to the last couple of months. It’s too bad you can’t meet them personally because I’m sure you’d like them too.

.
However I did notice something... they are all as insane as I am 😂 because not only do they live super busy life’s but they also documented it via social media and do so in a very creative way. .
.
So yeah no tables flew across the room... but I did see a toddler trying to run off with an empty wine 🍷 cup 😆 that’s as crazy as it got..
