Peace family. Tune in to Episode 56 where we speak with Brooklyn-based independent filmmaker and commercial director at @1stavemachine, Ron Brodie (@ronbrodie), about applying his own filters to the projects he works on. He understands that whether his role is to write, direct, or produce a project, it is going to go through his filter and his experiences will influence the final product. 🔗 in bio. #blackshutterfam #brooklyn #jamaica #filmmaking #filmmakers #blackfilmmakers #blackphotographers

We are pleased to announce that our series “Driver Radio: Jamaica” has made it’s broadcast debut!  Episode One “Town Ah Yaad” is airing as a buddy short to the documentary feature “The Picture Taker”, the story of Ernest Withers, a civil rights photographer turned FBI informant. Make sure to look out for it on your local @thirteenwnet or @PBS stations (the rest of our series is available online @funwithronordon)! Massive love and respect to our real heroes – the colorful and diverse Drivers, as well as the local Jamaican crew, who helped give this one of a kind taxi-travel series its charm.  On behalf of our team, we are very honored to share our humble story on broadcast television. Jamaica is a real place, and we are thankful for the opportunity to tell a fraction of its abundant stories 🚕🇯🇲💪🏾 So here it is! Our often imitated, never duplicated taxi loving series! Biggup Driver Radio!

In early December, @tmobile reached out to us requesting to feature our school and school leader in their #MagentaEdge campaign. A month later, @rbcreative landed at Hartsfield-Jackson with his team to spend 3 days with us capturing a few poignant pieces of our story. Thank you for your patience and vision, @rbcreative. #Repost • @rbcreative “One of the Pieces that I think is most important about my HBCU experience was valuing perspective, valuing diversity, understanding that while we look the same, we have some shared experiences, and we may have very different experiences.” - Alaina Chipman-Leeks, Founder & Executive Director, Atlanta Unbound Academy (@atlantaunboundacademy) @tmobile #magentaedge #blackhistorymonth #shareblackstories #supportblackbusiness #auatribe the last of #womenshistorymonth
