With a full heart, immense gratitude, and curiosity about what is next to come, Tailbone is officially closing its digital doors for orders in 2026. ❤️🔥🚪

It’s been an amazing five years of being creative, playful, tender, and orgasmic together. Now this chapter has come to an end, and it’s time to create space for new projects and collaborations. 💦⚡🍬

The first mushy thank you goes to our incredible customers. Over the years, you have opened up your hearts (and holes) to us, sharing what makes you tick and what gives you the ick. You’ve braved new territories of pleasure and self-expression, brought your partners and chosen/families along the ride, devoured books and buttplugs, tried on binders and strap-ons, came for tea and tarot readings, and made Tailbone into a warm and collaborative space for everyone. It’s been an honour to be a part of your journeys. 🫂 🎽 🍆

Next, the wonderful folks who worked and interned at the shop throughout the years, packing orders, color organising books, working pop-up stands, and taking cute polaroids - you will always be a part of us.

Last but not least, our amazing collaboration partners like @queer_gym @we.are.untag @yourrules_prosthetics @wilriekesophia @door2door.rdam @worm_rotterdam @klauwcollective and more - thank you for the work that you do and for helping make this world a more creative and sexy place. 📦 📋 🌈

If Tailbone has made a positive impact on you, we would love to hear from you, in our comments/DMS/Email <3. If you have questions or mushy goodbyes, our emails are still open. If you have outstanding giftcards, you can redeem them manually by placing an order via email until April 30th. We will keep the website active without checkout functions indefinitely as we assemble an archive of the projects we completed over the years, and links to places you can keep buying some of your favourite products.

And who knows - maybe one of you reading this might open Rotterdam’s next Queer sex shop… 🔮 🌱📫

With love,
Roni

Yup, you read that right, we are having a CLOSING PARTY SALE on June 23. Sunday 1-5pm, Keileweg 14, Rotterdam. This is not goodbye forever!! Just to our current shape and location. 🔑📦💻

It’s been such a meaningful year having a physical popup studio at @brutus.rotterdam and hosting you all there for consultations, fittings, and workshops! When I (Roni) moved the shop from my tiny house to an outside location, it was absolutely the right choice. And now it’s time for another change of pace 🐌.

I’m going to be running the shop remotely for the time being, with the intention of redirecting energy towards improving our digital backend and communication with you all 💻💌, creating more writing and educational content 🍎🤓, developing a one-on-one coaching practice 💖🫂, and tending to my own health and family 🏡🐾.

I’m really excited about these changes and immensely grateful to all the loving folks who are making it possible 🔮. So will you come by to say goodbye and help us clear these shelves of all the remaining 🍆s?? Everything in stock will be 25% OFF 🥳🎉 😘. We will even have a surprise creative activity facilitated by @ipek_ish 🎨🔥.

Some practical things to expect with this change:
💜We are working with @we.are.untag and @queer_gym to make binder and tucking fittings continue to be available in Rotterdam. More info on that in July.
🩷We are working with the @queergymlibrary to make some of your favourite titles available for lending.
💛We are moving towards a drop shipping model, so you will start receiving shipments directly from the supplier. This means our packaging will be less cute, but hopefully quicker in the long run 🐇.
🧡Our product selection will continue to change. Some things may no longer be available, but other amazing things that were not available before will be, so it’s a balance ⚖️. As always, your input and feedback directly affects it, so please keep reaching out with requests and recommendations 🙏.
💚Our website will get a facelift 🙃.
💙 I think that’s it for now… let me know if you have any questions 🫶.

Hope to see you on June 23! ❤️

🎥 Tonight we are hosting a special screening of the cult classic movie ‘Shortbus’, directed by John Cameron Mitchell (2006).

The screening will take place at LantarenVenster at 19:15 as part of Queer Cinema Rotterdam, a series of community movie nights programmed by Esmée in collaboration with local Queer organisations.

We picked the movie Shortbus because, even though it’s been almost two decades after its release, it remains singular in its exploration of intimacy and sexuality. Touching topics that are both widespread and niche, it is as serious as it is full of humor. Something beautiful about this movie is that it was also created in collaboration with the actors.

I personally love how it bridges the world between what we consider normative and non normative desires and relationships, and treats them both with importance. Whether you consider yourself a prude or a pervert, I feel this film illustrates how the desire to feel belonging through our intimate relationship is a universal struggle.

I hope this movie will touch your heart as it did mine so many years ago, and continues to do so every time I re-watch it❤️‍🔥. - Roni Screenshot of movie Shortbus.
