🦵 My knee clicks… Am I damaging it? If your knee clicks, pops, or crackles, don’t panic. In many cases, these sounds—known as crepitus—are completely normal and do not mean your knee is being damaged, especially if there is: ✔️ No pain ✔️ No swelling ✔️ No locking ✔️ No giving way The sound itself is often less important than the symptoms that come with it. 👉 In this post, you’ll learn: • What causes knee clicking • When it’s completely normal • When you should seek an assessment • Why treatment should focus on symptoms—not just the sound 💬 Does your knee click during squats, stairs, or walking? Let me know in the comments. 📌 Save this post for future reference and share it with someone who’s worried about noisy knees. #PhysicalTherapy #Physiotherapy #KneePain #KneeHealth #Crepitus SportsRehab

An ankle sprain is not always “over” when the swelling goes down. Ongoing pain, weakness, balance problems, and a repeated “giving way” feeling can be part of chronic ankle instability after a sprain. That is why rehab matters. Exercise-based rehabilitation can help reduce reinjury risk, and balance training has been shown to improve function, instability, and dynamic balance in people with chronic ankle instability. If your ankle still feels weak, painful, unstable, or keeps getting sprained again, it may need a more specific plan than rest alone. DM me for a specific rehab protocol.

Tennis elbow is not only a “tennis” problem. It is often irritation of the wrist-extensor tendon on the outside of the elbow, and it can happen with gym training, repetitive gripping, work, tools, or racquet sports. Complete rest is rarely the whole answer. Start with a tolerable level of loading, then gradually build wrist, forearm, and grip strength over time. The goal is not to push through sharp pain it is to give the tendon a load it can adapt to. Try these five exercises consistently, start light, and adjust the load if symptoms are clearly worse afterward or the next day. #tenniselbow #lateralelbowpain #elbowrehab #tendonrehab #physiotherapy

Front knee pain is not always just “the kneecap.” Sometimes the irritated structure is Hoffa’s fat pad — a sensitive tissue just below the patella that can get compressed and become painful. Because this area is richly innervated, irritation there can create real pain, especially with repeated pinching, hyperextension, prolonged standing, or some loaded knee movements. The good news is that this usually does not mean something is permanently damaged. In many cases, symptoms improve when you reduce repeated irritation, adjust the movements that keep pinching the front of the knee, and gradually rebuild strength and control around the joint. If front knee pain keeps coming back, it may be worth looking beyond the usual “just strengthen the quad” advice and checking whether the fat pad is being irritated. #kneepain #anteriorkneepain #hoffasfatpad #fatpadimpingement #physiotherapy

Your shoulder will often move better when your shoulder blade moves better. The scapula helps set the position for the whole shoulder, so if it is not controlled well, the arm can feel weak, tight, or painful during lifting and overhead movement. That is why scapular control work is a big part of better shoulder mechanics. #shoulder #shoulderstability

Stress changes the way the body functions. It can increase muscle tension, affect sleep and recovery, and make symptoms feel stronger when the nervous system stays on high alert. That’s why stressful weeks often feel worse physically too. Pain is not only about tissues; the nervous system and daily habits matter as well. Patellofemoral pain is not always just a knee problem. Hip strength, lower-limb control, and how the knee handles load all matter. Patellofemoral pain guidance supports exercise therapy with hip- and knee-focused strengthening. #patellofemoralpainsyndrome #pain #knee #kneepainrelief

Your body does not perform the same way all day. Circadian rhythm affects alertness, temperature, hormones, and exercise performance, which is why many people feel stronger later in the day. That said, the “best” training time is usually the one you can do consistently. Morning training can still work very well, and regular exercise timing can even help shift circadian rhythms and influence sleep. #circadianrhythm #exercisetiming #sportsperformance

Deep neck flexor exercises are often a good place to start when the neck feels tired, forward, or overworked from posture. They help retrain the smaller muscles in the front of the neck so the bigger muscles do not have to keep doing all the work. Do you often feel neck fatigue, poor head control, or repeated tension in the upper neck and shoulders? Try them out and you’ll feel the difference instantly! #neckpain #neckpainrelief #neckrehabilitation

If your quad feels hard to fire after a knee injury or surgery, it may not be just weakness. Sometimes the knee reflexively shuts the muscle down — a process called arthrogenic muscle inhibition (AMI). Pain, swelling, and joint irritation can reduce how well the quad activates and slow recovery. The good news is that AMI is treatable. Once rehab calms the knee and retrains activation, strength work becomes much more effective. #kneerehab #aclrehab #quads #physiotherapy

The rotator cuff helps keep your shoulder stable and controlled. When these muscles work well, overhead movement usually feels smoother and the shoulder is less likely to feel pinchy or weak during daily activity or training. That is why rotator cuff strengthening is such an important part of shoulder rehab. #shoulderpainrelief #exercises #shoulders

Poor sleep does not only make you tired. It can also make pain feel stronger by lowering pain tolerance, changing stress responses such as cortisol, and increasing inflammatory activity that may amplify pain signals. That means the same injury or irritation can feel worse after a bad night, even if the tissue itself has not changed much. Sleep loss has also been linked to altered brain pain processing and reduced natural pain-dampening activity. Sleep is not just rest. It is part of recovery.
