At our Online Talk #KargilBeyondTheWar on Saturday evening, food anthropologist and author Yash Saxena, responsible tourism advocate and Kargil native Muzammil Hussain, and cultural researcher and writer Sneha Nair explored Kargil beyond its familiar association with war and geopolitics. Through the interconnected lenses of place, people, and food, they examined how the region’s Himalayan landscape, cultural traditions, migration, trade, and local ecology have shaped its foodways over generations.
