Happy 1 year anniversary with my honey! After a year, this must still be the place.💛
In a year, we’ve…
-Got married (woohoo!)
-Went to Tennessee to Dollywood (long live the queen)
-Brought home our little Petunia
-Celebrated all of our first holidays married
-Laughed a lot
-Snuggled during movies and video games
-Got Daisy and Petunia a little sister, Daffodil
-Said goodbye to Baby and Georgie
-Went to Disney World with two of our best friends.
This year has been filled with so many memories, a lot can change in a year, but I’m still crazy for you, Mr. Harris-Barnes. Thank you for all our loved ones showing us so much support this last year, you make the hard times easier. Love you always! 🌼🌻🌸🪻🌹💐

Happy First Day of junior year to Jackson & Quinn! This morning was a little different for me. The photo cred goes to Rori because for the first time ever, I wasn’t there to see these two leave on their first day. They’re driving themselves and don’t start until 8:00! Have a great year boys, we are so proud of you! 🧡🖤🧡

So if you’re a USF alum, open and read your magazine because Rori described USF in a way we all knew, our home away from home. I couldn’t think of it described any better than that. This kid is flaunting our school and making people realize it is an awesome place to come into your own, meet amazing people and make connections you aren’t going to get anywhere else. Not to mention, the friendships I’ve created and the “six degrees of separation” because someone knows someone who knows you, makes us love our school that much more. 💛🤎💛 Also, go follow Saints Ambassadors and USF Golden Apple because Rori does the social media for them and you can see all the cool things on campus!

I know this is late but here is a small recap of last week. Monday I did audio interviews for the Bernie Awards (USF’s awards ceremony for the athletic department for those of you who don’t know), Tuesday I was one of few seniors who received the senior service award at the communications department banquet dinner, Wednesday I was one of two people who won the St. Clare Award for leadership at the student government awards ceremony, and Friday me and the new Access for All Saints E-Board spread some positive messages for finals week. WOW, what a ride 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!

Tonight proud parents do not even sum up how happy we are to call Rori Locke our daughter. A few months ago, Rori called us and excitedly told us she was asked to do the video explaining how important scholarship support is to the University of St. Francis for the scholarship fundraiser event, Caritas. Steve and I knew we needed to go to support her, but little did we know how amazing the video would be. We attended Caritas tonight and were able to watch all her hard work, introduce her to so many people, but also just watch her shine! Thanks to Rachael Marks Bartolini & Dean for the invite to be at their table, and as always, our friends make the night so much fun!

I had the honor and privilege of being a part of a discussion panel today on campus for Admitted Students’ Day at USF! It was so much fun to talk about my experience not only as a student and an alum, but also as a parent. As you can tell by the picture, I was the oldest panelist BY FAR, but it was still great to talk about why USF is such a great school. Thanks to the USF Ambassadors for the official invite and my goodie bag!
