I’m spinning this braid of @akara.rose Polwarth for #tourdefleece2026 because @rose_moon_rising said my grid is full of natural colors and I decided to mix things up. I will revert back to my regularly scheduled programming shortly. Must work through my fleeces!

Latest spins! 🤩

Yes, I’ve put the merino/cashmere back on the wheel despite the vote 😬 because I received advices in my DMs ^^
Many thanks to Sadie @sadies_spinning_creations Sarah @rose_moon_rising and Bonnie @knitzpoof for taking the time to share their knowledge with me! I’m very grateful ☺️
And thank you to everyone who voted 😘

So what did I spin?
138g 340m 2ply @hedgehogfibres merino/cashmere blend, so soft and beautiful colours 💕
189g 413m 2ply @ashford_wheels_looms Corriedale, very soft too and a little bit shiny 😃 I’ve got more of this to spin and that’s nice because it’s delightful 😃(merci @heine_colette_ 😊)

I wanted to use both together in a colourwork sweater but I think the merino/cashmere is too thin. Also maybe it’s too delicate to be used in a sweater? I don’t know 🤔

I hope you had a good weekend so far and wish you a crafty peaceful Sunday 😘

The happiest spin! 🌞💕☀️🌸✨
.
The first of four skeins I’m planning to spin in @hellolavenderdesign’s Signature colorway on Merino. It was a fun and joyful spin—easy drafting and my favorite colors! The hardest part was deciding how to divide the braids to get the result I wanted (3-ply worsted with well-blended barber poling) and my friend Sarah @rose_moon_rising helped with that (swipe to see a diagram).
.
And my current read is “Between Two Kingdoms” by @suleikajaouad. I’ve cried so much but felt such kinship too. She’s an amazing writer!
.
Now on to spin three more braids! 💛🧡💕 An orange, pink, and yellow skein of handspun yarn framed by green leaves

My new pal across this ole country made the dearest wee patches for me. This life has many beautiful highs, but also some challenging lows, and these sweet gifts made their way to me despite them. What the heck are Aplets and Cotlets anyway? Well, they’re my new favorite. #patchswap #mendandmakefriends2024

Thank you to my great friend @rose_moon_rising for the tag. This post is about females supporting females. Honoring our strength. It took me three days to do this post.
My depression brain is quit active at the moment. I've spent a lot of time laying in bed, listening to audiobooks, and playing solitaire on my phone. To be seen as a strong female right now makes me feel like a fraud. Like I walk around with this grand smile on my face which hides the fact that every part of me wants to crumple into the fetal position and cry. Cry for the callousness running rampant in our world in so many forms.

BUT..... I'm waking up. I'm making art, some good, most is garbage.
So, to all of my female friends and contacts, I nominate you. You help me continue making art, you make me laugh when I don't want to. You inspire me in so many ways. Thank you for showing me how to be strong. Post a black and white photo of yourself, tag me, and nominate another female you feel gives you strength.
I adore you all. XO

Wondering if I should get in on this #boxofsocks thing. A bunch of vanilla socks in verrigated yarns sounds lovely. #yarn #sockyarn #verrigated #knitting #colorful #pretty
