Okay… can we do this all over again? 🥹✨

Still thinking about how much fun we had bringing everyone together for this day. The vendors, the shopping, the beauty, the laughs, and SO many familiar faces made it such a good one.

Safe to say, we’re already thinking about the next one. 👀

Stay tuned because more Lux events are definitely in the works. 🤭✨

Who are you bringing with you next time? ↓

My heart is so full! 🩷

It was so awesome to wear my stylist hat with @themabystudio this morning while we set up the Sylvan Lake Chamber Awards... Then my Editor-in-Chief of @rosemag_ca hat and be proud sponsors of the event... and then have a chance to have some great conversations with my @rubyinsylvanlake hat as part of my campaign trail...

But honestly the best hat of the night is just "Ruby"... Having a chance to dress up, dust those heels off and cheer on my friends on their nominations, celebrating their awards and enjoying a night out (finally!) with my best friend @rachelastewart22! 💃🏻🥂👠💄

Congratulations to all Finalists and Awards winners and thank you to all the amazing people who made such a lovely night happen! 🏆

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. I have the day off from my university work, but I’m still spending part of it on @rosemag_ca. I’m grateful my work leaves me room for reflection. This morning, I’m finishing our fall cover story with Melody, and at 12:30pm I’ll be tuning in to a live stream on reconciliation, wearing my orange shirt and orange nails from home.

Collaborating with women to tell their stories is a privilege, and today it feels especially so. Today, I know each of us at ROSE are finding ways to turn our attention to survivors and Indigenous leaders shaping what reconciliation looks like, and remembering the children who never came home from residential schools.

A huge thank you to @rosemag_ca our Spotlight Sponsor, for helping bring our vision for this year’s Awards of Excellence to life!

ROSE Magazine supported us earlier this year through our Boss Babes Gala, and we are so happy to have them joining us again for the Awards of Excellence.

Their creativity and support are helping us bring our vision and dreams for the evening’s décor to life, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it all come together on October 3!

Thank you, ROSE Magazine, for continuing to show up and support our Chamber and local business community.

⚠ I NEED YOUR HELP! ⚠

A little backstory:
For the past 2.5 years, I’ve been dreaming up ROSE Magazine Canada. For the last year, my team and I have been building it from the ground up... heart, soul, late nights, big ideas, and a whole lot of belief in what millennial women are capable of.

We didn’t just want to create a magazine. We wanted to create "her". R.O.S.E. (Resilient, Original, Savvy and Empowered) isn’t just a name, it is a feeling, a movement, a best friend.

She’s the one you go to for a recommendation. The one who just knows the best of the BEST. The one who hypes you up and hands you the exact connection you didn’t know you needed.

That’s exactly how our business directory was born. Every category? Built from real conversations. I asked my best friends, Women in business, Moms, doers: “What are you constantly looking for?” So we built it for you.

Now here’s where I need you… 🙏
If you are a business owner in Metro Calgary, Central Alberta, or surrounding areas this is your moment.

Applications for the directory are OPEN. Some categories are already taken but there are still incredible opportunities to be part of this special group.

I’m not going to pretend this isn’t also me asking for support, because it is...

This magazine? It only exists if it’s funded.
I know I am biased, but what we’re building is something really special. Our second issue drops in October and I would LOVE for you to be part of it.
