#AppreciationPost
This first photo is from back in 2017, when I finally got to meet @Lecrae during the All Things Work Together Tour in Toronto. Although our interaction was brief, I managed to let him know how much of an inspiration he's been on me as a young black man and fellow artist. Since 2007, I have always found peace, clarity and joy in his music (go listen to his new album RESTORATION, it's 🔥).

His talent is undeniable, and he manages to uplift you even with his turn up tracks. I was I was in a bad place at this time (didn't realize I was going thru depression), but managed to conquer it a short time after this concert. One of my biggest struggles doing music is trying to stay aligned with my faith, and it's hard at times. Given all the temptations and negativity this industry breeds. That's why I forever rock with the 116 Clique.

I didn't want to wait to thank you @lecrae for continuing to inspire me and a generation of people. I appreciate you, all you do, and hope to bless the stage with you some day sir. Thank you big homie!✊🏾

P.S. - I always felt so tall in my life, and dude had me feeling small. Damn man, why you gotta do me like that fam?

Sometimes when the oppurtunity isnt immediately in front of you, you have to find it and make the most of it.

@roshgrove had to do exactly that, and luckily he had someone who saw his passion and wanted to help it grow!

I still can’t believe I made this.

@roshgrove is one of the most talented up-and-coming musicians out there, so when he approached me to make this film, I got excited. We worked together to create a story that was familiar but original. We spent hours in coffee shops talking about the direction. COVID-19 came and halted our productions, and we cancelled the final scene.

Now, it’s up and it’s almost surreal. I still somewhat can’t believe that I made this, but this was one of the coolest collaborations I’ve ever worked on.

I can’t believe how far I’ve come so far. Is there a save button?

Also, the link to the full film is in my bio or go to @roshgrove’s page. It’s pretty awesome.

I still remember @roshgrove and I sitting in a Tim Hortons while we come up with ideas for this film.
And this Friday, our vision of a tragic love story interlaced with a beautiful song about getting away comes to life. Both @roshgrove and @spoildxmishka did incredible in this film.
The music video for Getaway releases this Friday. Head over to Rosh’s page to check it out.
