Meet Roslyn, CTF’s awesome Program Director! 😎

Ros, or “Raspy Ros”, (if you’ve heard her speak) hails from Tennessee and has been in Jackson for 8 years. Her true love is on the river, but she quickly fell for snowboarding. She brings high energy, authenticity and tons of heart in everything she does. Working with youth is undeniably important in her life and she has grown into a caring and supportive snowboard coach the past 8 years. Her desire to learn and grow has sparked a fire that keeps growing. It’s been amazing watching her get on a skateboard and relating and connecting to the youth we serve. I’m thrilled and honored to be working along side her. There is a bright future for this gal 🤩 Carving The Future is lucky to have her 💜 We love you Ros!

If you’re wondering how your donation impacts Carving The Future, read the words below from our Program Coordinator, who gets to see the impact CTF has on its participants every day! 🤍

“Carving The Future means so much more to me than simply getting kids on snowboards and skateboards. It’s about giving young people the opportunity to find confidence, community, and a place where they feel like they belong. I’ve seen firsthand how much the outdoors and these sports can shape someone’s life, and being able to share that with the next generation is something I care deeply about. Whether it’s providing gear, getting a kid on the mountain for the first time, helping them progress toward a goal, or simply giving them a group of people who believe in them, every part of what we do is made possible by this community. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who believes in Carving The Future and chooses to support these kids—your generosity creates opportunities and experiences that can stay with them for the rest of their lives.”

Some places ask you to speed up.
The Snake River quietly reminds you to slow down.

For a couple of hours, there was nowhere to be. No agenda to keep. Just the sound of the current, the Tetons standing watch in the distance, bald eagles overhead, and the kind of conversations that somehow only happen when you're not distracted.

It's amazing to think this river begins high in Yellowstone National Park and winds more than 1,000 miles before eventually joining the Columbia River. Yet here, through the heart of Jackson Hole, it feels wonderfully peaceful.

This river is remarkable!
It flows south out of Yellowstone into Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole. It then turns west to slice all the way across southern Idaho via the Snake River Plain. Next, it arcs north, carving out Hells Canyon - the deepest river gorge in North America - where it acts as the natural border between Idaho and Oregon, as well as part of the border between Idaho and Washington. And finally, it turns west into eastern Washington, where it flows through the Palouse Hills and meets the Columbia River as its largest tributary.

We floated with Snake River Ranch, a family-owned ranch that's been part of this valley's story for generations. Their guides know every bend, every eagle's nest, and every story tucked into this remarkable landscape.

It didn't feel like a tour. It felt like being welcomed into a place they genuinely love.

Sometimes the best memories aren't made by doing more.
They're made by simply drifting... together.

If Jackson Hole is on your list, make time for a scenic float. And if you know what's good for you, ask for @rossyc123 as your guide.
You won't just see the Tetons from a different perspective... you may leave with one too.❤️🙌🏻
