DISTRICT VISIT TO ROTARACT CLUB OF OTA

On Sunday, 11th October, the District Rotaract Representative (DRR), alongside his entourage, paid an official visit to the Rotaract Club of Ota to assess the club’s progress, engage with members, and discuss strategic ways to strengthen the club and enhance its overall performance.

The visit featured a Board Meeting, Club Fellowship, and the Induction of Two New Members into the Rotaract family.

It was an opportunity to connect, share ideas, identify areas for improvement, and encourage members to remain committed to service and the club’s growth.

The induction of two new members was a special highlight, marking another step towards expanding the club’s reach and creating more opportunities for service and fellowship.

Together we continue to serve and create lasting impact

Today, we celebrate Nigeria, her people, her resilience, her diversity, and the hope for a better tomorrow.
@samcleansinitiative , we believe that the Nigeria we want begins with the communities we live in.

A cleaner street.
A restored community.
A responsible citizen.
A young person choosing to make a difference.

These may seem like small actions, but together, they create lasting change. 🌍

This Independence Day, let’s remember that freedom comes with responsibility including the responsibility to care for our environment.

Here’s to a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Nigeria. 🇳🇬💚

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!

Five Saturdays. Different locations. Dirty streets, clogged drainages, piles of waste and people who decided that something had to be done.

What started as a cleanup became a journey of restoration.

From Olaotan Bus Stop, to Oju Ore Coca-Cola Road, and finally Gasline Bus Stop, we showed up week after week not because the work was easy, but because we believed our communities deserved better.

Together, we recovered over 15,871kg of waste from our communities. But beyond the numbers, what truly stands out are the people.

To every volunteer who showed up:
Thank you for giving your time, your energy, your Saturday mornings, and your hands to this mission. Some came once, some came every week, but every contribution mattered.

To our partners and supporters: @letsdoitnigeria
@venusrecyclingservices , @acinigeria @rotaract_ota @ogun_ogwama ,@letsdoitnigeria , and every organization, individual and community stakeholder who supported this journey thank you for believing in the vision and helping us turn action into impact.

And to everyone who saw us on the streets, encouraged us, joined us, provided support, or simply asked, “How can I help?” we see you, and we appreciate you.

This wasn’t just about picking up waste.

It was about proving that when people come together, a community can change.

Five Saturdays of restoration.
One community at a time.
One action at a time.

Not my trash. Still my planet. 🌍

Thank you, Ota.
Thank you to every volunteer.
Thank you to every partner.
Together, we strive for five. ❤️

WORLD CLEANUP DAY 2026 × OTA MEGA CLEANUP GRAND FINALE! 🎉

What an incredible way to celebrate World Cleanup Day 2026 and bring the Ota Mega Cleanup to a powerful grand finale!

Today was more than just a cleanup. It was a day of music, games, environmental sensitization, awareness, connection, bonding and community action. The energy was truly on another level!

Our amazing volunteers showed up in their numbers and proved once again that when people come together, we can create real change in our communities. 🙌🏽

Together, we cleared 6,234 KG of waste from the environment today!

But beyond the numbers, we are building a culture where people understand that a clean and healthy environment is everyone’s responsibility.

This is what civic action looks like.
This is what community looks like.
This is what Ota Mega Cleanup is all about. 🌍

A huge thank you to every volunteer, partner, supporter and everyone who showed up throughout this journey.

We cleaned. We connected. We created awareness. And we made an impact.

Until the next cleanup… keep your community clean, keep the movement alive!
