We’re going to need your help tagging anyone we’ve missed in the comments. Lets stay well connected as there’s so much talent who rocked up to our special #brisasiabeats edition of Beat Sessions 🤯

We’re focussed on building communities of practice, keeping that blade sharp by reaching out and finding our peers so we may elevate everyone’s “hero’s journey” ⚔️

All photos will be shared in Discord and we’ve kicked off fortnightly online listening parties to keep track of your amazing work, so be sure to RSVP to the discord-event.

Big thanks @soundsacrossoceans for the wider work they do for the community and getting us on the #brisasiafestival program! @mayylyn & @lalkamusic for their incredible insights and @ventspace___ for the safe space. Super excited for the future of our scene!

Recap: Pot Luck 4 🍱
A nourishing edition of Pot Luck delivered all the right ingredients: creativity, cultural exchange, engagement, vulnerability, and a healthy side dish of courage. Producers brought previews of unreleased remixes, Beat Club submissions, and sketches. while the vocalists went off the top of the dome, penned verses, poems and we even had a children’s story performed to an impromptu soundtrack. Jedi with the mic @roman.is.alive facilitated a cypher and the vocalists traded bars to the fresh produce.

Gratitude to those who braved the wet weather and heavy traffic to bring their craft and creative energy 👐

Looking ahead, we will be running our annual Beat Sessions next month. Holding space for all of you producers out there who want to come thru and connect. 🛰

We’re back in a couple of weeks for Pot Luck #2

Slide for the pics of our first event. Huge gratitude to those who came and shared their art and energy!

We had singing, various forms of MCing. We had folk bringing their poetry and live instruments, all in the spirit of collaboration together with unreleased audio productions from local producers spanning hiphop to electronic genres.
