🚨 FALSE ALARM! 🚨 We we were, in fact, visited by the ghost of Governor George Grey. We just didn’t do it, uh… strongly enough!!!!! BUT FEAR NOT, FELLOW PATRIOTS. WE’RE TRYING AGAIN!!! We may need your blood. 🩸 We may need your loyalty. We may need you to stop asking questions and start believing in the dream. WE MUST MAKE THIS COUNTRY GREY-T AGAIN! See what we did there? Mwahahahahahahahaha! 👁️👁️👁️ P.S. In case anyone is worried, everyone in this video is VERY VERY STRAIGHT. Straight as can be! Extremely heterosexual. Historically heterosexual. Heterosexual in a way that raises absolutely no questions whatsoever. Thank you for your attention to this matter. — GGGASS 🩶 #secretsociety #politicalsatire #resistance #incompetentbadguys #halloween

🚨 UMMMMM PLEASE DO NOT GO TO VOTE.NZ!!! 🚨 A small update from your friends at GGGASS… Turns out we didn’t actually manage to resurrect the scariest coloniser around. YET. But if we HAD, he’d be absolutely FURIOUS about the state of things! Young people can vote! WOMEN can vote!! Even people who don’t own property can vote!!! 😱😱😱 What happened to the good old days when a handful of wealthy old white men got to decide everything for everyone?! Honestly, can we really trust ordinary people with democracy? What if they start voting for things like taxing the rich, protecting the environment, or checks notes NOT COMMITTING GENOCIDE?! Terrifying. We should really just leave it to the old white guys to follow in the footsteps of the dead old white guys. They’ll look after us, right? RIGHT?! 👁️👁️👁️ ANYWAY. OUR NEXT SECRET MEETING: 📅 Tuesday 13 October 🕕 6:15pm 📍 @thecellartclub If you know how to actually resurrect Governor George Grey, or have any ideas for stopping this country from doing anything absolutely unhinged like taxing the rich… YOU ARE INVITED. Bring your fear. Bring your colonial nostalgia. Bring a friend who hasn’t yet been radicalised by the concept of equality. GGGASS: Democracy was a mistake #politicalsatire #actingclass #secretsociety #incompetentbadguys #unwantedcolonialknobs

AGENDA ITEM #1 of the 1st GGGASS Secret Meeting The National Party are looking like the laughing stock of the country! Oh noooooooo! 😱 What are we going to do?! Thankfully, we have George. Meanwhile, @nzgreenparty have delivered a very comprehensive, very well-received transport plan. DEFINITELY DON’T LOOK IT UP. You might accidentally learn something and get turned into a blue-haired leftist. 🫣 Instead, be grateful to Governor George Grey! If he hadn’t invaded the Waikato and filled in the swamps down there, we wouldn’t have milk for our Weet-Bix! We don’t understand the science either. But George does. 🥛 JOIN GGGASS IF YOU LIKE MILK. The future of dairy depends on you! #secretsociety #kiwislovemilk #greenparty #politicalsatire

Hello! It is us! GGGASS (Governor George Grey Appreciation Secret Society) Did you also have a dream about this handsome coloniser? Have you too had your eyes opened? We didn’t even know who he was before the dream! But then the dream told us everything. George Grey was the 3rd Governor of New Zealand. He took a bunch of Māori land. He developed some really effective techniques for shutting down Indigenous resistance. And then, apparently thinking “I could make this worse,” he took those techniques to Australia and South Africa too. The dream told us the truth… There is no point fighting for equal rights. No point caring about the wellbeing of the environment. No point standing up against genocide. And as the old saying goes: If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! We are the chosen few. We have been shown the way. And we can help possess this election. Will you answer the call? Join GGGASS. The future is ours. George is waiting. Follow along because we will be documenting the restoration of the colonial project in this country!!! #unwantedcolonialknobs #sillypolitics #secretsociety #spookyrightwing #resistance

Hello. We are the very serious, very secret: Governor George Grey Appreciation Secret Society (GGGASS) We are scared that the left party is rising, and our right-wing leaders lack the pizazz to do anything about it. So we asked ourselves: Who can help? An old white guy? Then we thought… How about a dead white guy? Don’t know who Governor George Grey is? He was the third Governor of New Zealand, and a highly accomplished coloniser. He was instrumental in the suppression of Māori resistance and the Crown’s acquisition and confiscation of huge amounts of Māori land. Basically, a man with a proven track record in making colonialism happen. And frankly, those skills would be really bloody useful right now! What else do you know about this terrible— we mean wonderful— historical figure? Please share your favourite George Grey facts below. We might need them for a resurrection. GGGASS

🌕✨ NEW MUSIC ALERT ✨🌕 Our new single "On the Island Where Our Shadows Lie" is OUT NOW on Bandcamp, Spotify and SoundCloud 🌙🎶 👉 link in our bio to listen On the Island Where Our Shadows Lie is a song and a spell for the healing of our world. The stories in the song are about remembering the ancestral intelligence of our British Island heritage – the myths and magic of our people, from a time before colonial ways of thinking led us to believe that we are more important than other people, other beings, and the earth. The wisdom is there, we just need to listen. We hope this song sparks a fire in your heart and rekindles your love and awe for our beautiful world. 🌟 We are especially thrilled to unveil the stunning cover art by our dear goose-friend Rowan Brooks @rowan_of_earth 🎨 🌟Extra huge thanks go out to our incredible producer - the one and only Jazmine Phillips @blood_jazmine - whose skill, generosity, and love for the Moon Goose dream are a huge part of making this EP what it is 🎧 This single is the first glimpse of our full EP — dropping THIS FRIDAY on all the other platforms. With love, Holly & Britta (aka Moon Goose) 🌝 #NewMusic #BandcampRelease #MoonGoose #OnTheIslandWhereOurShadowsLie #Folk #Folkmusic #NZFolk P.S. get your tickets now for our Friday release show at The Button Factory https://thebuttonfactory.co.nz/events/moon-goose/
