I enjoyed seeing everyone’s work at 12 Rooms: To Dream last night. The show was spectacular and I am grateful to be a part of an exhibition with such talented artists! Each artist created their own room centered around subconscious fixations of memory, fantasy, desire, fear, and more. I have two oil paintings in the show, “Dreamscape One” and “Matryoshka.” They are based on daydreaming and practicing inner compassion during tumultuous or grief-stricken times. The show will be up until October 1st at Art Wrecker Studio in Chickasha, OK. Please stop by to check it out! https://www.facebook.com/share/1HcVwbJabf/?mibextid=wwXIfr

“Women’s Work” continues: TH 6-8 + FR 5-8 + SA 12-5 PLUS Artist Talk 3pm, SAT! MEET WOMEN’S WORK ARTIST ROXXANN MURPHY: I am heavily inspired by patterns in nature and my vivid dream life. I primarily use acrylic paint pens to make paintings with fluid lines, high contrast, and vibrant colors. @roxxannmurphy Image 1: “Ro Your Boat” 2026 (detail) by Roxxann Murphy Acrylic paint pens on wood 16 in x 20 in $100, Available for purchase Ro Your Boat was inspired by a photo of my daughter, Romy, and I. Becoming her mother opened up my understanding of the infinite source of creativity. When she was born I was prepared to devote all my creativity to her. Keeping my own creative practice alive felt selfish, as if creation were a finite resource. Ro was my masterpiece and anything I made outside of her life was self indulgent. But as my infant became a toddler I found myself constantly tapping my own creativity to solve her infant problems. As she grew we began creating things together. Eventually, Ro began to create on her own. Ultimately, we were working in parallel, each of us on our own but always giving perspective and encouragement to each other. Working on my own art in her presence helped her come to revere her own creativity as a natural, daily enrichment of her life. Far from a selfish act, art begets art. “Women’s Work” curated by Claudette Torneden THRU Sat, July 25 PLUS: Closing Reception + Artist Talk 3pm, Sat, July 25 + Workshop: Watercolor Workshop with Artist Laurel Payne 12–2pm, Sat, July 25 Cost: $60 (supplies included) 12 Participants Max // Ages 14+ REGISTER: LINK IN BIO Gallery hours: TH 6-8PM FR 5-8PM SA 12-5PM + BY APPT Contact: Nicole Finley @nic.finley Founder/Director/Curator - Positive Space, nicole@positivespacetulsa.org

[roxxann murphy] “I am heavily inspired by nature, family and my vivid dream life. This inspiration leads to paintings with fluid lines, high contrast, and vibrant colors. I hope to relay the deep meaning and power feelings I find in these worlds, which can only be articulated by art.” [breyden irvin ] A budding Oklahoma artist who loves to make one of a kind collage pieces of her favorite topics using repurposed materials and traditional drawing mediums. She also loves video games, cosplaying, and toy collecting. All Kids Out of the Pool for an [adult swim] Art Show, @the_speak June 6th! $20 from each purchase will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. EDO is the place to be for art & music during 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk on March 13th! Up Together Venue will be hosting a Local Maker’s Market and Standing Wave, a solo show by Roxxann Murphy. Latina Spicy Cuisine and the band Apex Convoy will be set up in the parking lot during the event. Abstract artist Wayne Kilborn will have a large collection of paintings on display at Main Street Trading Post, while singer/songwriter Jacob Tinsley performs. Stop by STASH to shop for jewelry, plants, gifts, and more. While you’re there take a look at their art wall featuring colorful pieces by Shelly Walker. Lazy Circles Brewing will be serving up delicious brews, as always, while Mitch Ellison takes the stage starting at 7pm! Find Eli Coffman Photography, known for his spectacular use of light and shadows in the night, in the EDO lot with prints. Leave your mark! Find an easel and paints setup on the patio of Maximillian’s for people who are passing by to contribute if they’d like. Norman’s weather should be perfect for strolling Art Walk with friends and family while stopping by to enjoy these events! #edonorman #normanartwalk #visitnorman

Why do we LOVE arts at Sailor & the Dock? Simple… Because art and artists embody *Creativity* and *Community* — 2 of our 4 Core Values at the Dock — amongst values of Sustainability & Wellness… We’re grateful for the amazing local talent, from local visual artists who’ve permanently left their mark on our 100-year-old building in @westvillageokc in @downtownokc to rotating arts that bring personality to our ART WALL, and musicians that liven up the vibe each time they pop in! Join us for the HALLOWEEN ART Show — a Free Event on October 25th 5-9 PM — hosted in partnership with our Art Committee @taylorcleveland.art @mackmade_art @rachelecromerr More info on www.SailorAndTheDock.Com/EVENTS

Last Saturday was the opening reception of Glitched Gears, a Cyberpunk/Steampunk/Industrial/Graffiti Art Show at @myceliumgallery! I wasn't able to make it to the opening so if you were like me, you can still check out the art on display now! I did get to stop in last Sunday and get some photos of the amazing collection of cyberpunk/steampunk inspired art made by the community. This is definitely one of my favorite themes so be sure to stop in and buy one of these really cool pieces!
