🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏾 HOSPICE 10K COMPLETED! 💪🏾🏃🏽‍♀️

What a fantastic morning! ☀️💓 I’m absolutely delighted to have completed my 11th Hospice 10K, and this year was extra special as I got to be part of Hospice in the Weald’s 20th anniversary celebrations! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and donated. 🙏🏾💓 And, of course, to my wonderful parkrun family, who were there in force as always! 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️💪🏾 There’s something very special about turning up to these events and seeing so many familiar faces cheering, running, and supporting one another. 💓

Hospice in the Weald does such important work supporting local people and their families, and I’m very proud to have taken part once again.

There’s still time to donate! 🙏🏾 Every donation, however big or small, helps this wonderful charity continue the work it does. If you haven’t donated yet and would like to support me, I would be incredibly grateful. 💓 The link is below👇🏾

🏃🏾‍♀️💓 10K FOR HOSPICE IN THE WEALD! 💓🏃🏾‍♀️

A lovely time at parkrun this morning! ☀️🏃🏾‍♀️ I met a wonderful team from Hospice in the Weald, who were there promoting their big running event on Sunday 20th September — perfect timing to remind me that I need to get a few more donations in! 🤣🙈💓

There’s something for everyone on the day — a 5K, 10K, family run and half marathon — and I’ll once again be taking on the 10K, as I have done for the past 9 years. 💪🏾🏃🏾‍♀️

This year will be a little different for me because, for the first time, neither of my children will be running with me, as they’ll both be at university. 🥹💓 But I certainly won’t be alone — some of my wonderful fellow park runners will be there too, as they are every year! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️🙌🏾

Hospice in the Weald provides such important care and support to local people and their families when they need it most, and I’m proud to keep supporting them year after year.

So... 10K on 20th September — LET'S DO THIS!! 💪🏾🏃🏾‍♀️💨💓

I know I’ve asked a lot of you wonderful people recently! 🙈💓 Earlier this year you supported my Cancer Research UK Race for Life, and more recently I asked for help following the devastating earthquake in Colombia 🇨🇴 — something none of us could have anticipated.

Your generosity towards both meant so much to me. 🙏🏾💓 And now I’m asking once more for a cause I’ve supported for many years — Hospice in the Weald. These are all causes incredibly close to my heart, so if you’re able to spare even a few pounds towards my 10K, I would be truly grateful. And if you’ve already donated to one of my other fundraisers, a share or simply cheering me on means just as much! 💖🏃🏾‍♀️

Thank you, as always, for your support! 🙏🏾💓

💛 Another letter added for Smiler Runs! 💛

This morning saw us at Royal Tunbridge Wells Parkrun, where S and R are now officially ticked off for the Smiler Runs challenge! ✅🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

What letters do you think we’ll be chasing next? Drop your guesses below! 👇💬

What a fantastic morning from start to finish. Everyone was so welcoming, the course was lovely with some great views, and it was brilliant catching up afterwards with Mo, Brad and Henners over a well-earned coffee. ☕😊

If you’re new here, Smiler Runs is our challenge to spell out SMILER RUNS by visiting parkruns—one letter at a time. It’s all inspired by the incredible Smiler Runs run club, and we’re loving every minute of the adventure, meeting amazing people and exploring new parkruns along the way. 💛

We’ll be back at our home parkrun, Sittingbourne, for the next few weeks, where we’ll be celebrating a big milestone for one of our founding members. We can’t wait to be part of such a special occasion! 🎉💛

🥳🏃🏾‍♀️💪🏾 400... 500... 900 reasons to celebrate! 💪🏾🏃‍♀️🥳

Today was one of those days that fills your heart with gratitude.

✨ My 400th parkrun.
✨ Zena's incredible 500th parkrun.
✨ 900 parkruns between us!

What better way to celebrate than running side by side with such a wonderful friend? Thank you, Zena, for asking me to share this special run with you. It made the milestone even more meaningful. ❤️

A huge thank you as well for customising my beautiful T-shirt with the 400 in my beloved 🇨🇴 Colombian colours. I absolutely loved it! 💛💙❤️

After crossing the finish line, the celebrations continued with cake 🎂, balloons 🎈, maracas 🪇, my homemade Colombian empanadas 🥟 and, most importantly, our amazing parkrun family, who cheered us on, celebrated with us and made the morning so special. You are simply the best. ❤️

A special thank you to Richard Craig-McFeely for capturing so many wonderful memories with your fantastic photos. 📸🙏🏾

And now... onto celebration number two! 🥳⚽️

Time to watch 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and 🇨🇴 with friends. Whatever the final scores, there will be laughter, singing, clapping, dancing, delicious food, drinks, friendship, and endless gratitude for life.

Because that's what today is about... celebrating milestones, celebrating people, and celebrating every opportunity we have to make beautiful memories together.

Life is good. 💖
