DAY 1 • WEEK 3 ✅💗 Week 3 is officially underway! My ladies committed to 3 miles today and got it DONE! 👏🏾🔥 And Boss Lady? I kept these legs moving for a total of 4.26 miles! 🏃🏾‍♀️💨 At this point, we’re not chasing motivation. We’re building consistency. One day, one mile, one promise to ourselves at a time. DAY 9️⃣ of our 3-mile walk! 👟🩷 Today looked a little different, but the mission stayed the SAME! I didn’t have any morning training clients today, so instead of making that 35-minute drive to Stony Point, Love Mila Brand Mila Mi stepped up and led the ladies for me. 🙌🏾 And guess what?! THEY STILL SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 While Jamila and the ladies were getting their 3 miles in at Stony Point Fashion Park, I was walking my neighborhood right along with them virtually… AND Roz joined us virtually from her neighborhood too! 📱👟🩷 Different neighborhoods. Different routes. SAME GOAL! 💪🏾 THAT is what teamwork and accountability look like. Everybody doesn’t have to be in the same place to stay committed to the same goal. 💯 Thank you, Jamila, for stepping up and keeping our ladies moving! And shoutout to Roz for locking in virtually with me! 🩷 Day 9 DONE. ✅ 3 miles DONE. ✅ No excuses. DAY 8 ✅ | 3 MILES 👟💗 Today started a little different. Because of the rain, I started my walk solo… and honestly, those first 2 miles taught me something. Accountability is great, but discipline is what keeps you going when nobody else is there. 💯 It’s easy to show up when the crew is waiting on you. But can you still show up when it’s just YOU, your goals, and the commitment you made to yourself? At mile 2, @Rosalind Morris joined me 🙌🏾 and we finished it out together! 💪🏾 And ladies, quick reminder for those rainy mornings 🌧️: we meet at a GYM! 😂 We have treadmills, ellipticals, and other cardio equipment available as our backup plan. Rain doesn’t automatically mean canceled. We committed to this. So whether we’re walking the mall or getting those miles in on the treadmill, WE KEEP THE COMMITMENT. DAY 5 ✅ 3 MILES DOWN! 👟💗 Five days. 15 miles. And the biggest win isn’t the miles… it’s the CONSISTENCY. We didn’t wait until we felt motivated. We didn’t need the perfect weather, perfect mood, or perfect pace. We just kept showing up. This week has been about ME vs. ME and getting just 1% better every day. This one was… 2 weeks since TSP CHX, and it’s been crazy processing what we did and what so many have done in the past. This running thing has been a blessing in so many ways. I’ve had some really amazing opportunities to move through different places and immerse myself in different cultures just by moving my legs. Forever grateful! When thinking of @thespeedproject , I just kept saying, “This one was…” This one was different. This one was unpredictable. This one was breathtaking. This one was wonder. This one was seeing God’s creation. This one was mind vs. body. This one was the mind winning and the body following. This one was getting lost and being found, and getting lost and being found. (Bertha, I understand.) This one was darkness and stillness. This one was digging deep for that grit. This one was literally cowbells. This one was croissants, croissants, and croissants. This one was Poco Loco burgers. This one was leaning on strangers to find your way home. This one was thinking there was a small city with a massage parlor on top of a mountain. (Seg 18 @mr_.808 @letscookandy) This one was reconnecting with your friends and making new ones. This one was frustration, tears, hugs, and laughter. This one was representation. This one was blackity black. This one was for the culture. This one was for the 804 & @weoffthecouch This one was 16 friends, 2 vans, 1 car, 450 km (280 miles), 30,000 ft. of elevation gain, and the unbelievable views of the French Alps.
