Had a great time in the biennial Bristol Artist’s Book Event (BABE) with Phoebe (@kei.wing._.hui) ! It was very warm in Bristol ☀️ Exhibitors and visitors were fanning while exploring many high-quality publications, zines and hand-made objects presented.

I was glad to be part of Aoi._bird Collective (@aoi._bird.collective), bringing with me 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 日凡細絲 and a few origami mini leaf envelopes.

The best part of BABE was undoubtedly to converse with fellow exhibitors from different parts of the world. I was thrilled to learn about diverse ways of publishing as well. Thank you Bristol 💕

Thank you to the artist who shared the booth with us ~

（Life is elsewhere, life isn‘t elsewhere.）

🥁Merry Christmas🤶🏻To remember the event I organised this year: 【The very first Hong Kong Academia Christmas P for Artists. 】 😆 Welcome to our Highlighted Program: Artgifts Exchange 🤍 It has happened on Friday 27. 12. 2024. Hopefully everyone enjoyed! I believe there would be a chance to organise again in the coming year!! 🎁

I Don’t Know How to Love You Teach Me to Love is part of the exhibition program of DAS ESSZIMMER - Raum für Kunst+ in the first half of 2024 - Friends of Friends of Friends of... that addresses friendship in the context of resistance and resilience. As the exhibition explores diverse strategies to create connections, it will also close this thematic cycle.

In a curatorial collaboration with Struggling Art Space, Hong Kong, I Don’t Know How to Love You Teach Me to Love brings together artworks by six Hong Kong artists to Bonn, Germany. Inspired by the challenges of everyday life, these artists transcend the hustle and the relentless passage of time, longing for connection amidst constant farewells and brief reunions. Through a variety of experiential mediums from installation, sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, writing, to moving images, the artists offer unique perspectives on their pursuit of love and the resilience required to navigate the delicate nature and fragility of relationships.

So, no time for love or do we?

A somewhat belated goodbye post to my time in Hong Kong and residency at V54 with @ycac.plk . I met so many beautiful people and saw a lot of amazing art. I’m feeling very grateful for my experience, thank you to everyone who made it so special 💜

Exhibition photo context:

1. Me in the exhibition space of my end of residency exhibition with @ycac.plk
3, 4, 5 & 6. @tate.kw solo exhibition ‘Ghosted’ and end of exhibition sound performance by Chan Ting. Photo 4 by Tate.
8. Tetsushi Higashino’s exhibition ‘Bruce and Blues’
10. @ycac.plk team at my end of residency exhibition opening.
12. @roselizr ‘s work in the exhibition ‘Post-Mortem’ and the outcome of a very fun and impromptu workshop where Rose taught us to make a lotus 🪷

And a big shout out to @soundpocket_hk it was great to get to connect with you all, thanks for your kindness and support during my time in HK.
