"If you’re able to get tickets, do it." Former soccer player, England super-fan and Lonely Planet photo editor @rrrhia (and her dad!) recently got to watch their team face off against Croatia in the World Cup in Dallas (the same city where Rhia traveled to tournaments as a kid), with @fifahospitality & @onlocationexp. “This was my first ever World Cup match – I’m genuinely so grateful for the experience, and it was so cool to share it with my dad," Rhia says. One especially magical part: "At the end of the match, the entire stadium serenaded England's Jude Bellingham to 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles."

Soccer-lover, former athlete and Lonely Planet photo editor Rhia Hylton (@rrrhia) makes the case for experiencing World Cup host cities – even if you don't have tickets to a game: "There are so many ways to feel involved in the tournament without being inside the stadium, from watch parties that pop up all over the city to community gatherings and fan events," says Rhia, after a recent trip to Toronto with @explorecanada. "It’s amazing to see how the sport brings people from all over the world together, and the energy surrounding it is truly intoxicating."

"Get in the water as soon as possible." That's Lonely Planet's @brekkefletch secret for surviving any amount of travel. Tell us your ultimate travel hack (we won't judge if it's a bit unhinged; we've been there) ⬇️

Raise your hand if you, too, love a fridge magnet to track your travels ✋ The cheesier the better, like Lonely Planet's @deepa. Perhaps a work of art, even if it's a bit of a nightmare to transport. Tell us your favorite souvenir in the comments below ⬇️

Are you a Type A traveler, or more Type B? At Lonely Planet, we're a mix of both and beyond, as in some of us are out here with spreadsheets and time limits, and others are just in search of gummy candy at the airport. Let us know where you fall in the comments ⬇️

You know when you come back from a trip and you have to almost physically restrain yourself from telling every single person you come across about it? It was just so "otherworldly," as Lonely Planet's Brekke called her Antarctica journey, or "straight out of a fairytale," like photo editor Rhia's Lake Bled adventure. Consider yourself free to share. Tell us about the trip YOU can't stop talking about ⬇️
