“Nobody cares about your humanoid project.”

RSA did. And that gave us even more reason to keep building.

At Project Echo, we’re building an open-source humanoid to explore one question: what is he added value that humanoid robots could bring to search and rescue operations in damaged and partially collapsed buildings?

Our goal is to test its value in the RoboCup Rescue Competition There’s a lot of work between our current prototype and that goal. We’re sharing that part too.

Behind every short clip is a team working through problems that don’t fit into a reel. Sometimes the progress is a working mechanism. Sometimes it’s finally understanding why it failed.

A huge thank you to RSA for supporting Project Echo while we’re still building towards that vision. Having people believe in the project at this stage means a lot.

For now, you get a meme. Follow along to see the robot we build behind it.

Een kleine terugblik op een geslaagde dag! 📹✨

As part of the project we are using our joints to build a 6-dof robot arm. We made sure it was huge as to make a high fidelity design extra challenging to achieve 😅.

The build phase is well underway with our first three joints!

During this hands-on workshop by @delft_drone_initiative , participants didn’t just learn how drones work, they built their own FPV drone step by step. From frame and electronics to configuration and flight-ready systems.

The drones use analog FPV video transmission, a technology still widely used in FPV because of its ultra-low latency and reliability, making it ideal for manual flight, testing, and rapid prototyping.

Workshop presented by Kuba, with a big thanks to @jiminators for capturing the process and energy so perfectly 📸

This is how we learn: by building, flying, and pushing limits together.

One more well-deserved throwback to our Agri-Robotics Hackathon! 🌾🚀

Last Saturday, we had an incredible day at RoboHouse where several talented student teams put their prototypes to the test, pushing the boundaries of innovation in agriculture. With support from Koppert, they worked tirelessly—well into the night—building solutions that could shape the future of sustainable farming! 💡💪

A huge thanks to all the brilliant students for their hard work, creativity, and determination. And a big shoutout to @rsadelft, NXTGEN Hightech and @koppertnl for supporting this initiative and making it all possible! We are looking forward to seeing where these innovations will take us!

Just look at them! BotaniBots is the winning team of our Agri-Robotics Hackathon! 🌿🤖

Last weekend several student teams unveiled their concepts and prototypes to innovate in the field of biological pest control solutions. The winning prototype demonstrated a new way of tying sachets filled with beneficial insects to the stem of a plant.

The student team of BotaniBots is getting a Raspberry Pi and a VIP networking lunch at the Koppert Experience Center.

The Agri-Robotics Hackathon was organized with the @rsadelft, NXTGEN Hightech and @koppertnl.
