35mm Kodak film

Ever wondered about my film sessions?
I offer sessions with one or more rolls of film 36 exposures capturing moments as they truly are. Film brings a realness and an untouched feeling that digital can’t always replicate.
I love getting a roll developed and seeing the raw, genuine moments captured exactly as they are.
Get in touch to learn more about my film offerings and book your session.

Super late post here (summer has been crazy busy) It was an absolute honour to play at my Local festival @terracevalhallafest It was a very special moment for me, Having my girls up on stage with me and rinsing some of my favourite music on the PK's; very grateful 🥰
Finally got around to uploading my Sunday morning set - Some chill DUBZ within.
*LINK IN BIO/COMMENTS* Shout out to my wife @ayamlight.photo / @byruby.maya and @eureka_beats for capturing the moment 📸

G’day, I’m Ruby, an Australian living in Prince Rupert, BC 🤍
I picked up a film camera at a young age and eventually felt it was time to travel the world. Along the way, photography slowly grew into something I really loved.
After becoming a mum, photography became something that brought me back to myself, something that was just for me.

Now I offer both film and digital sessions, weaving my love for nature into my art and capturing the beauty I see in you.

So grateful for @capturedmomentsbycass for these beautiful photos and for the little community of photographers I’ve found here 🤍

If you’re looking for something natural, creative and a little different, I’d love to capture your essence.

“The forest is where I come home to myself.” 🌿
.
Hi, I’m Ruby. Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected. Photography and nature became the places where I found myself again. You’ll often find me barefoot in the forest, chasing soft light and the beauty of moments. Through my lens, I hope to create images that feel honest, timeless, and deeply connected to nature.

Mothers day always catches me off guard because it’s a few days after my birthday. I always say hold your horses, it’s my day first mum! Forgetting for a moment that on this day she was giving birth to me, on the floor of our greylynn flat, iggy pop blaring in the background, entering her second era of motherhood, 20 years after her first children. Finding her strength yet again, she raised me alone as both the mother and father.
More on that some other time.

My heart goes out to all the mums who’ve made the sacrifices to raise us, in all the loving, mess, depleating, loud, annoying, teaching, learning, body stretching, ways.
Equally my heart goes out to those who’ve lost their mother in this lifetime ❤️ As well as those who never had a bond with their mother.

For the rest of May on the dates that I have available, I’m offering a special 45 minute session focusing on mother + child, or mothers maternity session focused on you, at your home, in Golden Bay. $250, 30 photos included. We'll find a couple of the best nooks of light, and capture some simple, connected photos. This counts for a mother and their adult child too.
Still available for my usual sessions. Contact me to book 🏠
