Thank you to everyone who came out for Said By The Father & Son.

It was a special night of poetry, music, storytelling, and conversation around fatherhood, family, identity, and legacy. We’re grateful to everyone who showed up, spent the evening with us, and helped make the space feel so full.

And with that, that’s a wrap on Season Two but there’s more to come!

Thank you to all of the artists, guests, and community members who made this season possible. We’re excited for what comes next.

We are beyond excited to officially welcome Ruby as our featured guest dancer for Said by the Father and Son.

This production has never been about simply standing behind a microphone. It’s a living conversation between generations, told through poetry, live music, storytelling, and movement. Every artistic choice has been intentional, and dance became an important piece of that vision.

There are moments in this show where words are no longer enough. Sometimes the story has to be carried by the body. Sometimes healing has to be seen before it can be spoken.

Ruby brings a level of artistry, emotion, and presence that adds an entirely new dimension to this experience. Her performance isn’t just choreography. It’s another voice in the conversation, helping tell a story about family, identity, love, struggle, and legacy.

This production has become a beautiful collaboration of musicians, singers, designers, dancers, technicians, and community—all coming together to create something much bigger than any one person.

We’re honored to have Ruby join the family.

Did you know The Steadfast Tin Soldier turns 30 this year? Our beloved holiday story ballet has been enchanting audiences for three decades, but some of the costumes are starting to show their age. This year Dance Fremont is raising money to help replace some of the costumes that have made this production so special for so long. Consider making a donation in increments of 30 to help us give our dancers new costumes to wear this season!
