12 months ago I pressed submit on an application that felt bigger than me. The Cartier Women’s Initiative represented some of the most extraordinary female entrepreneurs in the world. It wasn’t something I believed belonged to someone like me but I applied anyway.

For 6 months I gave the process my everything. There were application forms, interviews, presentations, panels, financial forecasts, impact reports and countless nights spent refining every detail. And while I worked tirelessly on each document bts, I would save the drafts things like “I will be a Cartier Fellow.” Not because I was certain (at all) but because I was trying to become the kind of person who believed it could.

Every time I saw the @cartier logo, I paused and imagined what it would feel like to be part of that community. Every time self-doubt crept in and whispered, “What are you even doing here?” I tried to answer with a different question: “Why not me?”

Last week, @cartierawards flew me to Bangkok alongside 29 of the world’s leading female entrepreneurs. Women creating solutions for some of the world’s biggest challenges. Women changing systems, industries and lives. Women whose work spans continents and whose impact reaches millions of people.

Yet what moved me most wasn’t their achievements but their humanity. We shared stories, fears, hopes, tears, laughter and dreams. We spoke about the pressure of leadership, the weight of responsibility, the loneliness that can sometimes come with building something that doesn’t yet exist and the deep desire we all share to leave the world better than we found it.

The experience expanded my vision of what is possible for @womnkind and the 50,000+ young people we have had the privilege of supporting so far. It reminded me that the most extraordinary opportunities rarely arrive when you feel fully ready for them. The life you dream about is often built long before anyone else can see it. Sometimes it begins with a decision. Sometimes it begins with a little faith. And sometimes it begins with a draft file on your computer carrying the name of a future you are still learning to believe you deserve.

Reach for those stars and stay kind,
Ruby

We’ve been a bit MIA on here lately but this may explain why!! A season of big opportunities, exciting projects, airports, long days, incredible conversations, time spent with my fav people, moments that felt surreal and moments that brought me right back to what matters most✨🫶🏼

I’ve learned that life doesn’t tend to slow down while you’re waiting to appreciate it. The people you love, the milestones you’re working towards, the quiet moments in between - they’re all happening at the same time.

So lately, I’ve been trying to hold both. To dream big. To stay present. To build meaningful things. And to make sure the people I love know they’re more important than anything on my to-do list.

Feeling very grateful for this chapter and VERY excited for what’s ahead!! Thank you ALL for being here💛💛we are so grateful for you🌏💙

Stay kind,
Womn-Kind

For years the Cartier Women’s Initiative application found its way to me. I would open it, read about the extraordinary women being recognised, picture just for a moment what it could change for Womn-Kind. And then I would close it…

Last year, when someone once again suggested I apply, something inside me had shifted. Not in the work - our mission has always felt deeply important - but in the belief in myself as the person carrying it forward.

Alongside building Womn-Kind, I have been doing the quieter work too, on myself. The internal work. Growing as a leader. Leaning in to my authentic self. Learning to sit with discomfort. Walking into rooms where I don’t yet feel I belong. Believing in myself.

So this time instead of closing the application, I pressed submit. And through every stage of the process - which pushed me well outside my comfort zone - the fear, imposter syndrome and doubt were still there. But this time they weren’t the loudest voice in the room. The belief in our mission and myself was.

Being selected as a 2026 Cartier Women’s Initiative Fellow is one of the greatest honours and privileges of my career so far. To stand alongside women from around the world who are building solutions to some of our greatest challenges is deeply inspiring.

Moral of the story is that for so many years, I didn’t even give myself the chance to receive this opportunity because I didn’t apply. And to be honest, this year it didn’t feel like the obvious choice either. Yet here I am, wondering how different 2026 would look if I had closed the application one more time.

Sometimes the biggest shift isn’t the opportunity itself. It’s believing you are worthy of stepping into it. I cannot wait to share more of this journey with you. To say I’m grateful would be an understatement. I have so much more to say and am SO happy to finally be able to share this news with you - the heart and soul of what we do.

Stay kind AND believe in yourself,
♥️ Ruby

It was the greatest honour to be celebrated as a finalist in the @womennsw Women of the Year Awards as a Community Hero last week in celebration of International Women’s Day🥹🥰❤️

Behind every community hero (of which there are SO many) is their community. And I have never felt more grateful for mine. To the community (aka you) who has been part of our journey so far, thank you so freaking much. We are nothing without you and everything with you🫶🏼🫶🏼

Being recognised in this way means the world🌏but the real honour is building something alongside a community that believes young people deserve to feel supported, seen and full of possibility. This is only the beginning of what we can create together🚀❤️

Stay kind and BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES,
Ruby
