@bookiesfan tagged me in the #snowystackchallenge and #snowystacksforfood @readalotwritealot will be donating $1 for every #whitebookstack until February 13 to her local food bank (up to $100).

Illinois has had major snow fall over the last week or so and my kids have been loving it. Although the temperature has dropped a lot as well these last few weeks this winter has been rather tamed compared to previous years so I’m not complaining.

Broken humans seeking an escape

Getting wasted on drugs and women
Running away from their demons

Oh, the thousands of pages
that took me to places
Near and far
Back in time and in the future
Italy in the spring and Paris in the fall
Saloons and town halls
Desert and mountains
California dreaming while speeding
With Ghost Rider Neil Peart
Down Route 66
Sunsets on the beach
Cold sweet tea on a hot southern day
All the feelings that stay,
in my heart and mind always.

Oh, all the feelings I’ve felt
Lust, with strangers hooking up in Amsterdam
Enamored, by a lovely Madame
and American sir.
Their epic love story stirred,
passion for decades.
I felt sick as I read about the crusades
Got hooked on murder
reading Helter Skelter
Took shelter, from the rain
As I read a memoir
With 44 chapters, about 4 men
It’s crazy the pages I’ve been
I could go on and on

Oh, but there’s so many books
I’ve yet to read
When I feel the need
To escape, wanna feel my heart break
There’s a story out there
Guaranteed to take me away
Away from this reality,

Some of my top reads of the year! As you can see I read a wide range of books. From dark and contemporary romances to YA and fantasy I enjoy all of those and everything in between. If I had to narrow it down to my absolute favorite it would still be a toss up between ACOTAR, AKOFAF, and The Takeover 🙈 loved them all for different reasons but those three have stayed with me throughout the year.
