How about a moment of appreciation for the yarn and fiber I brought home with me from New York? 💖 In order of appearance:

1. Five skeins of Rupert’s Ranch, a 65/35 sport-weight blend of American Corridale and Merino from @uplandfiberco in the colorway Moss.

2. Four skeins of Comfort Silk Linen from @aimeeshermakes in the colorway Cinnamon Bark.

3. The Unmasked Vol. 2 Mini Set from @seismicyarn, a purchase that was inspired by a gorgeous sample they had in their booth.

4. Two balls of self-striping sock yarn from @scrumptiouspurl in the colorways 100 Acres Bounce (featuring gold stellina) and Christmas Berries (featuring red stellina).

5. The “Morbid, yet full of whimsy” sock set from @sunsetfiberco, her gorgeous @indieuntangled show colorway.

6. The most beautiful “large skein” of a 65/20/15 blend of Merino wool, silk, and yak from @longmeadowfarmwool. This was “one of two of a kind” and Gretchen bought the other one so we can buddy-knit a shawl.

7. Moreland Rush (100% Polwarth) + Marsh (Targhee, Polwarth, andTussah Silk), a gorgeous plying pair from @keirawxyz.

8. A brain of “Super Plumpy Fiber” (Shaniko) in the colorway Blåveis from @ruiknits.

9. A curated bundle for the Harlow Flip hat by @dreareneeknits, in the colors Juniper on @thefarmersdaughterfibers Piskun base and Mississippi Marsala on the new @spincycle_yarns Dream State base.

Another wonderful Rhinebeck weekend for the books!✨

Starting with @awoolenaffair, thank you so much to everyone who stopped by the booth! And thank you to my amazing friends who helped in the booth😘

I’m so sad that this was the last show of the year with best booth buddy @terrapinfiberworks, but there will be one more instalment of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants as we separate for our last shows of the year. Lyla will be at @frederickfiberfest this weekend on Oct 24 (though her show color will be debuting in December) and I will be at @socalfiberfair Nov 21-22! Keep an eye out for a pre-order for this amazing collab in December as well.

@nysheepwool was a blast as always, taking in the autumn scenery (that we do not get in Texas🤪) and getting derpy pics of the animals. I also got to show off my Tunisian crochet Sweater Weather Pullover by @justtheworsted that I had finished the night before. I used my colorway Starburst Sky on Extra Pure Sock held with Freshly Squeezed on Suri Lace. I was definitely one with the trees and leaves🍁

This is always such a magical weekend getting to see so many friends and experience some true fall weather. My weekend haul is on the last slide! Until next time, Rhinebeck🫶

When the #gypsophilashawlkal was first announced, I knew immediately which precious single skein I wanted to use!! This is @ruiknits Glimmer (fingering weight, 80% SW extrafine merino wool, 15% nylon, 5% gold stellina) in the colorway “Revel in This” which was exclusively dyed for @stitchandrevel during the @bayareayarncrawl this year (I’m a sucker for exclusive colorways okay 😭😭) The colors remind me of pastel Easter eggs 🪺

I bought the gold ring from @life_is_cozy during the One Skein Knitting book signing 💛 it works perfectly with this shawl 🫶

Happy release day to ✨Rhinebeck Raglan✨

Tori first approached me with this pattern when I was planning to use this future handspun for Mercer. Alas, Tori was right and the handspun turned out absolutely perfect for Rhinebeck Raglan.

If you were at Lambtown this last weekend, you would’ve seen a sneak peek of the pattern hehe. I spun a SUPER plump and bouncy 3-ply from pin-drafted roving I had milled. The sheep breed is Polypay and wow does it come alive in yarn form. In roving form, it is so unassuming - not super soft, some VM, and just a creamy white color. Anyways, I’ll be brining some of the pin drafted roving to A Woolen Affair for everyone to enjoy!!

Frankie Blouse by @petiteknit has been waiting patiently for her debut but the weather has not permitted. It's sooo hot!! & Yarn is @sandnesgarn Tynn Mohair and @ruiknits Mohair Silk. Frankie was a super easy knit imo and I like the silhouette. I am petite as well so the proportions are great!

Lambtown 2026 is a wrap!

This was my first sheep and wool festival, and it was a wonderful experience. I learned so much in my workshops, met so many friendly people, and uh, might have purchased over 25lbs of raw wool. 😅 I also got to return to my old college haunts in Davis and confirm that the food still holds up. I can’t wait to go back next year!

Edit: I forgot to take pictures of my fleece, which means I forgot to tag @siren.song.fleece . Thank you for taking my four Mendenhall fleece to scour so that I can do the fun parts at home!
