Home fresh made Pastel de Nata, the iconic Portuguese custard tart.
Orders yours, more info via PM

Owned by a Portuguese family of second-generation bakers and named after the home of the original Pastel de Nata, from the parish of Santa Maria de Belém in Lisbon, the ethos is simple. Santa Nata specialises in one hero product – authentic Portuguese custard tarts.

Santa Nata’s bakers have perfected the closely guarded recipe to ensure the perfectly sweet creamy egg custard is nestled in crisp layers of the flakiest, buttery pastry. Enjoy like a Lisboeta with freshly ground coffee, Port or Ginjinha, a traditional sour cherry liqueur at perfectly complements the sweet tart.

We’re a family business with big ambitions and we attribute our triumph to the bond that holds together our team of Portuguese chefs.

When entering the UK market, we recognized the importance of preserving the heritage of our pastry, while simultaneously embracing our own creative instincts to venture into unchartered flavour territories.
Come visit us at the Christmas fairs and let us take you on a sensational Pastel de nata journey!

Excited to share with my fellow anglers my new pb. A crazy half hour in the midday sun & 3 pbs later I was a sweaty mess for more than one reason 🤣
Mapping out methods while fishing various different tactics in this lake for hours and hours led me to very poignant result. The no1 lure and all 3 pbs fell to a 4” natural coloured (black back, sliver flanks & white belly) slow sink jerkbait. Unbranded but I will find out the name shortly 😉

So after my lake exploits I just knew I had to get on some flowing water, following a few tip offs I found a fantastic spot that was full of fish. Sadly not all of what I was after, it was slightly tidal so obviously the mullet were everywhere. I started out with the UL rod and mini species but I soon found what I was after, 2 of the barbel species & boy it wasn’t easy.
Hours of watching and casting, they were interested in my spilt shot isome combo but wouldn’t commit fully. (I did have one on a unscented worm too)
But the breakthrough happened as a flooding tide produced a lovely back eddy the barbel were on the feed big time, zipping into the flow to intercept any food items, they were in the feeding groove. I should of got my ML gear but I might of missed the frenzy and 30mins later I had landed 3 small barbel, they were nailing my worm on the drop in an aggressive manner. So the fights was frenetic & panicked, I was undergunned and lost a couple of bigger ones to hookpulls but 3 out of 5 wasn’t to bad. The change of direction and power was something else but as always finely balanced gear is infinitely stronger than you can imagine.

Still no big chunks like I lost on day one but 46 bass later I’m loving every minute, it would seem 20+ fish are the same year class. I’ve caught on so many different methods but hard and soft (slow sink) Jerkbaits provoke instinctive reaction hits and boy do they hit hard on balanced gear.
Mapping out strategies in different areas and in changeable conditions is what I live for.
Lure fishing ad hock and wild camping is a life affirming necessity for me. Getting in touch with Mother Nature and all the fruits she has to offer you is special, enjoy it while you still can.
