We. Did. It!!!

It’s scary putting a goal out into the universe.
It’s scary trusting yourself enough to take a big swing.
It’s scary chasing something that requires so many variables to come together in a very specific way.

But you know what’s not scary? Having a village that shows up for you in every possible way, whether those variables come together or not. A village that supports your goals and wants them with you, but doesn’t care if they don’t happen. A village that celebrates every win like it’s their own and picks up every broken piece of a loss.

Yes, today was about a specific time goal. But it was also about the village that helped me get here. The village that showed up like an absolute BOSS this weekend and this entire training block. The village that carried me through every single step of this race and wouldn’t let me quit even when I thought I wanted to.

Today was gritty but magical, stressful but beautiful, chaotic but seamless, thrilling but emotional. And I would not have gotten through it without my people. Thank you for carrying me all the way through that finish line.

The biggest shout out to Kyle who carted three kids around this crazy city by himself, navigating hundred of thousands of spectators, to see me in four different places and meet me at the finish with a giant sign 🤯.

I won’t get over this weekend for a very long time. Not because I met my goal, but because of how I got here.
- Minus the part where I forgot my wallet and had no ID to fly or pick up my bib with. However plus the part where the wallet was hand delivered to Kyle at mile 3 after making its way from Boston via said village.

Nothing better than the post-race reunion and sweaty hugs!

Our crew ran gritty and gutsy, took some big swings, overcame some s*** 💩 (IYKYK), and survived the heat!

We had some magical days out there, with PRs, BQs, and some BIG breakthroughs! 👏👏👏

But for many, it was a hard hot day that required a lot of resilience, and the race left a lot to be desired. If you find yourself here, be proud of the bricks you stacked this fall, even if you don’t yet have the result to show for it. Your time is coming, there’s more goodness ahead! Be a little bummed, but also be proud, and keep dreaming big. Together we’ll take another swing at 26.2 soon!

For now - celebrate a hard-fought finish! Any day you finish a marathon is a GREAT day and we are proud of you! 🩵

Fast & fun times at Redmond Harvest Half to kick off the fall racing season 🍁

Yui @yui_umezawa put in some good work on tired marathon legs as she prepares for the @snohomish_running_co River Run Marathon in October.

@hellonwiehls returned to Redmond and lobbed a whopping 5 minutes off her time from last year, going from 1:22 in 2025 to a blazing 1:17 this year. All while doing much of her summer training in Tanzania conducting research and beginning a new job as an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame! Watch out, Chicago Marathon, Annelise is coming! 🔥

@maggiemcfresh also took off mega minutes off her half marathon PR, going from 1:21 ➡️ 1:17 as she prepares for her marathon debut at @indymonumental in November. This super mom is one to watch!! ⚡️

Israel had a tougher day out there, but we know he’ll rebound for Chicago!

Great work everyone! Let the fall marathons begin! 🏃‍♀️

August running, you flew by! 💨

From stroller miles to trail ultras, from hilly 5ks to road miles, half marathons and many miles logged for marathon training, it was a busy summer for our team!

@erinsuchards and her little one raced their first stroller mile together at the Brooklyn Mile, and Queen of the Beer Mile @elizabethlaseter raced the @guardianmile (sans beer), snagging the win in the open women’s division and notching a speedy 4:47 PR!

@_natalie_gail raced the Grand Island 50k in a 50k PR, just over 6 hours and finishing 10th female!

Coach @kace.pace embraced the Summer of Speed and jumped into multiple shorter races this summer, smiling her way through 5ks that will surely serve her well in the longer distances this fall.

@stmiles returned to the half marathon after an injury and threw down an impressively 13.1 as she prepares for @berlinmarathon, along with many of our other athletes getting ready for fall marathons!

It was a night for the books! 🎉🏃

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us at the Sacramento Running Week After Party and @sacramentorunningassociation Night of Achievement.

After a full week of running, we finally kicked off our running shoes and hit the dance floor with @djkfacil . 🪩

We had the chance to honor incredible running achievements, celebrate everything that made @sacramento_running_week so special, and close out the week with some major raffle wins.

A huge thank you to HOKA x @fleetfeetsac for the official Sacramento Running Week tees, @sacramentorunningcompany for wrapping up our weeklong Passport Challenge, and everyone who helped make the night and the entire week possible.

Most of all, thank YOU for continuing to make Sacramento a world-class running community. 💙

To our moms 🩵

To those in every season of motherhood, whether you’re running through pregnancy, postpartum, or parenthood.

To those who are planning marathons around positive pregnancy tests, who are logging miles wearing a belly band with a lil hitchhiker in utero, and who are building back postpartum, one run/walk at a time.

To those training with the stroller, on the treadmill during nap time, squeezing in miles after preschool drop off - we see you fitting in training whenever/wherever you can!

To those with bigger kids now, who are biking alongside Mom while you run or even joining you on the run now, having watched Mom train and cheered her for many years.

To those who’ve raised runners, and are now running around cross country courses cheering on their kids, or who are running half marathons and marathons with their grown children, sharing miles together in a new way.

To those who are still waiting to become mothers, to those who’ve experienced loss along the way, to those trying and hoping - we see you too, and hope your miles today bring you some peace and comfort.

In honor of @saraannelilopez’s feature in @fastwomen today, here’s a throwback to her BIG breakthrough day at @runcim262 in December, where Sara earned her 2nd Olympic Trials Qualifier.

As Sara shared with Fast Women, much of her past 2 years have been spent juggling running goals with a strong desire to have a family. Many female runners navigate this challenging road, trying to conceive while simultaneously pursuing running goals, chasing two dreams and straddling two worlds.

This fall, Sara went all in on her OTQ goal, putting together her healthiest, strongest marathon training block in 2 years. She hit her hard days hard, prioritizing quality over quantity, running 60-65 miles a week balanced with cross-training and rest days, with a renewed focus on strength. She was rewarded in December with a nearly 90 second PR, running a stellar 2:32:23 (flashing smiles and thumbs up along the way!)

We hope the next marathon Sara tackles is motherhood! And when you see her on her next 26.2 starting line, watch out - another PR is surely coming ✨
