First marathon in the books - 2:58:27!

What a rollercoaster! I raced the first half with @princessmaikelea and @running_devil. Then I decided to slow down as I need my legs for the next competition. But I first struggled to find a "new" pace. Luckily, I met Christoph at the 30 km mark, and we ran together until the end. That was when I really started to enjoy the marathon! The atmosphere, the cheering and the people were just inspiring! This won't be my last one, but for now, my focus is hyrox with @strongmoveclub !

I know 24h races from motorsport, but last weekend was different...

I'm still processing what happened and, at the same time, couldn't be happier and more thankful to have been given the chance to support the goblin @aaronjfeeney at his backyard ultra debut @lastsoulultra .

I met many inspiring people, had great chats, and a lot of fun the whole time. I'm very proud of you, brother - after your next dance in Utah, it will be time to dance together! 😤

P.S.: I know for sure @devin_agca laughed after hearing the sound of this post

salute the goblin! 🫡

And since whole germany reported about this crazy self-destructing event, let me say this:

Ultra running is inherently dangerous. High-performance endurance sports are designed to test the absolute outer edges of human capability, and we must always remain fully aware of that reality. However, there is a massive difference between recklessness and calculated extreme sports.

The athletes who conquer these distances do not simply show up at the starting line. They commit to months and years of structured training. During a race, they are backed by dedicated support crews who meticulously monitor their nutrition and mental state to minimize any risk. Furthermore, these grueling events are restricted to just a few times a year, ensuring the body gets the necessary recovery windows.

Push your boundaries. Test your potential. But do it with a calculated risk and deep respect for the sport.

Another very important message:

Events like these are a huge rush. The adrenaline kicks in, and we can push through without much sleep. But feeling fine and actually being fine are two completely different things.

On my way home, I mistook a red light for green and pulled away. Thankfully, I realized my mistake a few seconds later. It was a lucky wake
