Feeling so blessed and grateful. Thank you @runningmama_com for always thinking of me and being so thoughtful. What a wonderful surprise to receive in the mail today. I remember listening to her in an interview and telling you about it. So amazing!!! Praise God for friends like you. 🙌💜

Today’s run was the last hard effort before a much needed taper for Quest for the Crest 50K.
I love being able to share miles with new friends and old friends. We may not always run together but knowing you aren’t alone out there truly makes the miles more enjoyable! Being out in nature has become such a huge passion of mine over this training block I get to see all the little details in the beauty of the world.
As of today I can say without a doubt this training block not only did I put in all the work but I surprised myself more often than not on paces I was hitting! It goes to show if you are disciplined and put in the consistent effort you can do amazing things! Do I feel tired… YES! Do I not want to get in workouts sometimes… YES. But at the end of the day you are the one who has to look in the mirror and be proud of everything you have accomplished! I am so excited for this year and HOW I GET TO PROGRESS! You are stronger than you realize! LET’S GET AFTER IT!

What do you do when your bff calls an hour before a race and says “I forgot there’s a race this morning, what are you doing?”
I say, “I guess i’m going to go race!”

9 miles this morning 🪩 Saturday morning long runs have become my favorite aspect of my week. There’s so much beauty & peace that comes with it that has become my therapy.

Things I realized during this run:
My current importance of training is running, lifting, then classes/beach volleyball
I have the ability to find a community of individuals that I love and are amazing because I have grown into being confident and secure in who I am
