Thank you to those who reached out! I’m fine. Unfortunately, I had to drop at mile 84. I can honestly say that I gave it everything I had until the very end.

By mile 75, my body kept shutting down. In all my years, I have never felt such exhaustion. By mile 78, I was literally sleepwalking. By mile 80, I literally wanted to stop, collapse, and take a dirt nap on Father’s Crowley. It took everything my pacer had to keep me from doing this!

By mile 84, my body was completely trying to shut down. At that point, it felt like a huge task just to lift my water bottle to my lips. Yes, I did take some naps, and unfortunately, if I would’ve staked out any longer, I wouldn’t have been able to make the mandatory cutoff.

This is incredibly heartbreaking, but I take the memories and the everlasting love, compassion, and friendship from this wonderful Badwater community home with me.

Thank you all for reaching out with your concerns. I will live to fight another day!

Congratulations to all those incredible athletes who toed the line. It was an honor just to have the experience of being there with you all!

Ugh! Crazy work week then to kick it off I got this head cold that was going around work on Wednesday, which had me laid up in bed for the last few days. Never been so happy to get sick thank god it was this weekend and not next. Felt great to finally get outside and get a little run in.Super excited to see all my running family next weekend at @badwaterhq Cape Fear, first race of the Ultra cup series. #themaninthearena #73
