Just five days out till our next Whānua Run! Check out the cool new course! Running in a clockwise direction from in front of the Bowl stage, it includes obstacle sections, a run across the stage, a fun little bush trail (not ideal for buggies but feel free to use the shortcut), some sealed sections, and some grass and dirt. And we’ve minimised the hills! Heaps to keep the kids entertained over a 1km lap! 3pm Sunday 12 July Bowl of Brooklands Pukekura Park Free entry

What have our amazing Green School families and teachers been up to lately? A lot! 🌿 From community Touch Rugby on Tuesday nights (ending with our founder’s unforgettable try 😬) to surf lifesaving, running club training after school, @coastalfive - there’s never a dull moment. Fridays are for connection -catching up over coffee with other Green School parents after a yoga sessions, add in a teachers @sustainablebackyardsnz Trails structurally insulated rammed earth house Tour’* (and how it is possible to build a Sustainable, off grid beautiful home), spontaneous trips to see the glow-worms @waitomocaves and you’ve got a true taste of the Green School spirit. Our learners, their teachers — and their families — continue to grow beyond the classroom, living the values of connection, creativity, and community every day. *Local Ōkato builder Jeff Fairweather 📸 @mattqueree @lelongweekend @priscilagonzalez.arte 💚 #greenschoolnz #adventures #families #teachers
