@runthespectacle training this year has been alot more chill and focusing on the fun side of running 😂
A few wee trail races leading up to game day, I won't be coming in as strong this year but I'll still be having a ball on race day 🤙

Marina 2 Marina was an epic morning out despite the abismal conditions 🤣

Needing some extra motivation to enter @runthespectacle this year?

Every runner who enters The Spectacle has the option to fundraise for a cause they believe in. There are some amazing organisations being supported and we're honoured to be one of them. Money raised for AAT through this event will go towards our athlete grants for 2027.

From the mile to the 100 mile, the trails to the road, beginner to Olympians. There is literally something for everyone at this event and we can't wait to be a part of it.

See you in Nelson, 4-5 December. If you've already entered, you can still set up a fundraising page, or follow the instructions to add a charity when you enter.

Link in bio for more information.

Oh and keep an eye out for the AAT relay team on Friday night 🏃🏻‍♂️🔥

Turns out signing up for @runthespectacle when neither of us are runners was a GREAT idea. 🏃‍♀️😅

@lisareidnutrition is a Nelson legend, nutritionist and local business owner who spends her days helping women get stronger, healthier and properly fuelled. So naturally after gatecrashing her sprint training I asked her the important question: **what the heck do we eat to refuel these bodies?!**🍌

Training isn’t just about the work you put in. It’s also about giving your body what it needs to recover, rebuild, cope with the DOMS and do it all again.

A bit of sprinting, a bit of learning, a lot of laughing, and two women who are absolutely winging the running part. I reckon we might even recruit Lisa to @210reasonstorun with team @nelsontasmanhospice 💪🏼✨

Follow Lisa for more practical nutrition advice from someone who knows her stuff — and wish us luck at The Spectacle. We’re going to need it. 🫠🏃‍♀️

I will Never EVER become so neurotic that I dont stop on a training run to pet ALL the animals.
Enter Ginger Cat what a dude... then it it snowballed wohoo.

My longest run ever.
Strava said 22km. Garmin said 21k.

Not bad for someone who doesnt look like a runner (this body was built for weights lol) nor has the budget for @hoka_newzealand *that would be great* and a second hand watch. @suuntonz
@garminau 🥲

Pretty proud of myself, this entire mission has been recovery from a mental breakdown, having a neurological collapse n discovering an extra disorder in my brain 🤪. 3 months to learn to walk n run again yay.
Then loosing my best friend- the promise to her I will do ALL the things now, see it all and my second chance.

Tough 😤 getting out the door today - holiday was more effort with 3 kids and trying to work and fit in all the things. Plenty of hiking in there today. Called the session early when I lost the light. Just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Onwards 🫡
