Apparently they call it a victory lap? On tap tomorrow: 42.2km (gulp!) at @towaterfront42k with @tcsnorthamerica #teamtcsteachers ! Raising funds for @torontolibrary @tpl.foundation (link in the DONATE highlight in my profile - it's not too late!). Trying to get my head around the fact that my little legs are going to cover this distance, I've decided to look at it just like a day on the #caminodesantiago - OK, a little longer and a little faster, but I know that I can do the time on feet… I will be run/walking my way to the finish so please if you see me walking on the course hopefully it's a planned walk! It's my way of making sure that "I've got this"! If you see me on course, please give me a shout out, I'm feeling very, very nervous… I may still change my shirt that I'm wearing, but I will be wearing my pink hat so I should be easy to spot! (not shown in the flat lay is obviously my @kinesysactive sunscreen because is it already packed in my bag! ) #runwithtcsintoronto #towaterfront42k #chooseTOrun

Cheer…let’s talk about it! 🫶 It’s something that just “happens”. But what you may not know, is those strangers cheering you on are waking up earlier than you may be! They arrive, and cheer and make noise for the first participant, and stay until the last one passes them. They’re helping to motivate you on course because they know exactly how it feels to need that boost to get them to the finish. They’re dancing and yelling all day long - just for you! It’s how we know that Toronto has the best run community! Strangers showing up for strangers when they need it most. 🤍 Thank you to all of the crews that show up and make our races so special! We 🫶 u! And we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for you next month. 👀 #RunCommunity #RunClub #RunCrew #TorontoRunning
